This is a template question for a template i am considering switching to over my all brawler one that i currently have.

The template is this: MasterPistoleer/MasterSwords/ Fencer 4440

The theory behind it is based on pVp..the fencer is of course for the defenses and the capped dodge abilities but the pistols and swords is what would give me a variety of ways to take down a stubborn opponent Example: If the mind dots wont hit pull out the body shots..or visa versa. I was wondering if pistols would be worth picking up and using with this template over a brawler one, as it seems now any pistoleer is also a smuggler or bh with pistol skills in that area and I am unsure wether Master Pistoleer alone is able to deal out any good damage in PvP.

Master Pistoleer on its own is lacking the speed and accuracy you need to be effective in PVP. You really need BH Pistols to give you the extra edge. Saying that, a fast Geo Pistol, and stopping shot vssomeone who isnt wearing stun armour is very funny.

Personally if I wanted Master swords, I would probably pick up Rifleman as well instead of Pistoleer.... I think Master Rifleman on its own is more effective than Master Pistoleer (without BH Pistols and Smuggler Pistols) - more powerful weapons, more specifc HAM attacks, better speed and accuracy.

But that could all change with the CU................

I agree with the "that can change after CU" coment, who know what will be good. But I was master pistoleer/swordsman for a LONG time and can give some insight. Both professions are not really that good in pvp, prolly the least evective of their type but together I was a very effective pvper. Adding in the fencer and you will be very good. Always have a cob macro going and intimidae everyone you see and you will be just fine. Good luck. Oh also you might want to drop some fencer for medic. Just beware stacking is gonna end soon. Most importantly have fun.

It has been my experience that when you combine pistols/melee profession you will more often than not turn to the melee profession to compete in PvP and use the pistol defenses thats all. You might use pistols to pick off a runner but most of the time is melee. So if you are wanting to use pistols go straight pistols its the only way you will use it in PvP, IMO.
