Why is it that so many people chose to go the route of CM and dump the remianing points after MBH/MP into CM instead of doctor?

The reason I did it (I'm MP/MBH/CM4000) is that the CM4000 line gives you +50 healing efficiency points more than you'd get if you went to Novice Doctor (which is the highest you can go in Doctorafter you masterthose other two professions), and also gives you an extra+20 Melee Defense and +20 Ranged Defense. You also get Neurotoxin. You get none of that with novice doctor.

The trade off is that doctor gives you Nutrient Injection, Stabilizers, and the ability to heal wounds. I guess it's a matter of which skills you find are most important for your playing style.

The main reasons right there. Lots of healing effeciency, and extra defense. Cant beat that!
