Thread: what is a quest item?

i remember reading that they wanted to make quest items available to everyone in regards to the de-10 and several other things. ok well i did a "quest" and i got a proton carbine that needs mbh. i did another quest and got a pistol that needs squad leader. did another quest and got some knucklers that need tkm. so i was wondering what is a quest item? i mean even scythes need a specific profession requirement.

well that doesnt really answer it. in fact it even adds to the list with the deathrain having a mbh cert.if these are suppose to be examples of quest items and quest items are suppose to be available to all then why the profession certs is what im saying. not an attack on you in case it sounds that way.

Good point. Seems to negate any arguement that the Devs have for removing the Master PIstol cert on the DE-10.

I guess they just meant anyone can get the rewards but to use them you need to be the relevant prof?
The rewards seem to be selling quite well though so if they're no use to you then sell them and use the cash to buy stuff you do want/need...

My Deathrain, which was looted after the first patch is certed at Master Pistoleer... although i still can equip it so its bugged. The one in that picture is looted the first day, and can also not be equiped.

just one word of warning for buying quest items - in this case the trando supression pistol!
i saw one of those in a vendor recently (galaxywide vendor search on eclipse). when i checked the stats and i noticed that there was one category totally missing, i saw with other offered new quest weapons:
bio linked: (pending)
so either its been an early loot (i think on the first days the quest items weren't biolinked) or the owner biolinked it already and noticed afterwards, that its a master pistoleer only weapon. so be careful when buying those stuff - just check that the biolink is still pending.
