Can we clear the air on this issue? There are too many differing opinions. Does the pistoleer have the ability to do a ranged knockdown on other players?

No we do not. I am one box from master pistoleer, and we do not have a ranged knockdown ability. This severly gimps us in PVP since PVP is all about who knocks who down first currently. Furthermore, our upgrade in the pistol melee defense line currently does not have a knockdown component. If you need to knock down something, use MeleeDefense1 because 2 is currently bugged.

Low Blow in the smuggler tree is a pistol ranged knockdown

some people are saying one of the master lvl skills does an AOE knockdown. any info from masters?

disarm shot 2 is 64m AEknockdown.

Disarm shot 2 IS a knockown, an extremly powerfull knockdown at that. I was able to kill 10 Rebel Overts by myself and only got hit one time during the fight. Each shot knocked 3-4 of them down and did 500-800dmg so within just a few seconds they were all incapped and I just walked around and DB'd them.

I know a lot of people are going to argue that that is too powerfull, but if we did not have that the pistoleer profession would be pretty worthless IMO.

I just got master pistoleer, and yes Disarm Shot 2 is a ranged knockdown. I love this ability

im a pistoleer, and if you seriously believe this skill doesn't deserve a nerf as soon as possible you are insane

I am glad to hear that pistoleer masters have a ranged knockdown. Considering that Bounty Hunters get there Underhand knockdown shot on the first box of the carbin tree. Bounty hunters do way more dmg with that one special then a pistoleer does with bodyshot3 or even stopping shot. This is well worth the effort to get master pistoleer. I was seriously thinking of not going this route exactly because of not having a ranged knockdown. Thanx for the info I just hope the devs keep it that way long enough for me to get there

I mean, disarming shot 1 does nothing like this and none of them state anything about a knockdown....

I think all pvp knockdowns should be nerfed, except maybe tka's because they deserve something if they ever get in range to do something

It needs a pvp ONLY nerf, its fine pve.
