I saw this one when I was looking at all the possible titles in the game. I know about Master Gunfighter, Novice Gunfighter, andApprentice Gunfighter, but what skill tree do you need to master for Gunslinger?
Thats an awesome title... Anyone know how to do it?

I have actually thought about trying to get together a sort of PA for Master Gunfighters. It'd sort of be a cross between the doctrines of the Gunslingers from The Dark Tower and the teachings of Nars Teepo, Jedi Paladin.
For those of you not in the know, The Gunslingers were an order most likened to that of the Knights of the Round Table in earth mythologies. Indeed, an ancient king and founder of their order was Arthur Eld. They come from Stephen King's masterpiece, The Dark Tower. His own site has an official offshoot site for the series of books at:
http://www.penguin.com/darktower/gunslinger.html
As for Nars Teepo, some of you may be a little more aware of this name, since the assumption goes that we're all fanboys here. The Teepo Jedi are fairly new in the long history of the Jedi tradition. They are a small, but fanatical branch of the Jedi order. They were founded around the same time that the Blaster became the common sidearm by a Twi'lek master named Nars Teepo. Primarily, they used BLASTERS instead of Lightsabers. For more info, have a look at...
http://www.pvv.ntnu.no/~leirbakk/rpg/starwars/theforce/starwars_theforce_teepojedi.html
Now would we be force sensitives? No. Would we really be Teepo Paladins? Not really. Could we come up with a PA that was based on The Gunslinger Order? You betcha. What say you folks?

Well, this pretty much being my first MMORPG, how would anyone suggest going into something like making a PA based on Stephen King's Gunslingers and the Teepo Paladins? I suppose a name would come first. The Gunslinger Order sounds nice. Or The Paladins of the Gun. That sounds nice too.
A motto? Fairly easy. Though it may be fairer to call it The Litany
I do not aim with my hand. They who would aim with their hand has forgotten the face of their master...
I shoot with my mind.
I do not kill with my gun. They who would kill with their gun has forgotten the face of their master...
I kill with my heart.
As for the conduct involved in its members? You do good. It'd really be that simple. You defend those that cannot defend themselves. (Of course who does that cover in THIS game?) You oppose evil. And seek to turn back chaos.
I imagine one would forsake ties of transient government in order that your motives for doing right were pure. IE: The order would not be manipulated or used for political aims. Doing good on a PERSONAL level sounds right. Trying to do good on a grand scale would mean getting involved in the war and embroiling the order in the murky distinction between imperials and alliance.
I'm likely overthinking this. I tend to overthink most things. If some of you other folks think this might be a doable thing, why not make a few suggestions of your own. Again, being my first MMORPG, I really don't know the first thing about getting a PA together or how to fund it in-game. Especially speak up those of you that've read the Dark Tower, and looked at the Teepo Paladin tradition...

Gunslinger is a nice title. I am at odds with either taking "Quickdraw Artist" or "Gunslinger" as my permanent title even after mastering Pistoleer.

I trained Master Pistol Tactics and Master Pistol Marksmanship at the same time. Does anyone know which title is alloted for which branch? Or if it's one of those titles that appear according to how many branches you have, does anyone know if Gunslinger is 2 branches or 3 branches?

I’ve heard that the title of Gunslinger comes with the first branch of the Pistoleer tree (sorry, I’m still working on Novice Pistoleer bit, so I don't remember which branch that is…).
I’m all for this PA, at least once I get to a point where I could join... The Dark Tower series is one of my favorite series (The Dark Tower, the Wheel of Time, and the Zahn Trilogy for Star Wars…all right up there tied for first). What server are you on? Somehow, I doubt you’re on my server…lol…would be nice, but still.
For that fact, maybe we could get the PA started on several servers?

Actually, I'm on Eclipse and operating on Corellia. Don't we have to have a certain number of people willing first? Or is it just a matter of getting the money to start one? What?

Ah yes the Dark Tower series. Whenever my pistoleer/combat medic is tipped for healing or thanked for helping in a fight I always respond with "thankee-sai".
