I considered doing Smuggler - but don't really want to learn unarmed. Then there is bounty hunter but again, I see no need to master Marksman line that seems like a lot of wasted points to me (3 weapon specialties). I know I want to master Pistoleer, but need to know what other things should go along with it - ideas?

I also have the full BH pistol line, this gives you a ton more speed and accuracy.

But to get to that BH line, you have to master Marksman AND Scout correct? Which would just be....a lot of points to spend ?? Sorry I'm a bit new to all this.

If you ask the true pistoleers, they are going to want more of makes a pistoleer a pistoleer. I wouldn't be surprised to hear many of them want the stat increases you see with the BH profession.

As for me, I actually enjoyed the unarmed in the smuggler tree. I find now when I get attacked by NPCs (thugs, swoopers, etc.) I still find it fun to run at them and shoot from the hip with that pistoleer accuracy but when they whip out their polearm, I bring out the vibroknuckles. SOE has done a great job of providinga very satisfying thud when you connect with a good right hook.

I'm still climbing the pistol ladder though because even though the smuggler tree requires a lot of pistol work, we don't get the stat increases. I got Novice Gunfighter before I went for Feign Death. Had to get that Health Shot 2. Don't know if I'll make it to Body Shot 3 anytime soon. That is a lot of pistol work and I can't leave the knuckles alone. I'll probably get the Novice Teras Kasi artist. I think a good balance of melee and ranged fits my playing style a bit more.

Ok now I've decidedI would like to try Master Pistoleer and Master Smuggler. My new question is, where do you put the leftover points? I'm showing 52 points left after getting those 2 to master (and getting to expert ranged weapon support in marksman line) and have seen people getting medic and artisan skills, any (more) help would be greatly appreciated.

After i got Master Pistoleer/Smuggler i went for scout...i did exploration 4, and then medic, healing 2, speed 1...that should leave you with one point ( dont let that 1 point drive you crazy )

To me it is all about the range so I'm going up pistoleer and BH and then using the rest of my points in CH, I've stopped gaining CH points cause I'm waiting to see how it's gonna change after the nerf but I do love having a creature around and my probot is so boring to talk to.

i havent decided this yet either. i know i want to master pistoleer, and i have exploration 4 for the increased running, and ranged support specialist (as a pistol user, do i really need this?) i was thinking of waiting for more proffesions to come out later, like mechanic and hopefully pilot later on.

I'm the ever maligned Pistoleer/Creature Handler. I'll be pushing both of them up pretty high with maybe a bit of medic to top it off (heal the pet and such).

At one point I was planning on going BH/Pistoleer, but I picked up CH when my harvesting ended up giving me the prerequisites and I knew I was miles from novice BH still. I was hooked on CH after my first tame
