I love your ideas. Fits how I want my guy to be, but the devs just stated that they dont have the man power to focus on dual weilding and dont expect to see it anytime soon.

Hehe, true, lets start moaning and see what that does. I remember pistoleers asking for dual weilding in late 2003.

Regardless I had two 4 Tier branchs for each class to become grandmaster in ... for pistoleer I did Grand Master Gunfighter and Grand Master Trickshot, Trickshot i Have not posted yet. These are based on top of the Legendary Marksman Profession found

Anyhow just wanted to get some comments. Enjoy
ok, here is one of two pistoleer Legendary Focuses I have worked on. This one is called Gunfighter which focuses on mobility and inaccurate damage (the other being Trickshot which focuses on status effects) On here its posted in reverse, as hwen i typed it out , I stacked it as you would see it on a skill list... sorry for that. While the bonuses/specials could be dsiputed forever, I really want to tie the senior community to newer members, and create the association, instead of the self-centric personna of many jedi characters.
Also when mentioning Grand Master characters as the requirement for tier abilities, this also refers to tohse who have passed their respective rights of passage.. such as Fan Following for Right of Passage II, which would be usable as a Right of Passage II, and doesnt have to wait for the full Grand Master Gunfighter before using it. Further, the abilities Pillar of the Community, Fountain of Knowledge, Fan Following and Sponsor are abilities that every grand master (including rights of passage) profession would possess.
Grand Master Gunfighter
Pistol Speed +20
Pistol Defense +40
Pistol Movement +8
Influential Reputation +1
Two Smoking Blasters
One of the most damaging attacks in the game, but also one of the most costly. Delivering a 6 times health damage modifier +KD [a screen shake would be a cool effect to add] and costing 5 times SAC. Must be within 4m of target to use this ability. This is of course under the assumption that PvP is still reduced by 75%. 5 second cool down during which a -80 defensive penalty is incurred. Can only be used with Matched Pistols.
Pillar of the Community
You can talk to the ancient master and select quests that become "your quests." The ancient master will have many quests for you to chose from including factional quests[hopefully including neutral factions]. In order to set a quest as your own, you must first complete it from the master by yourself. Some Grand Masters will select the same quest which is fine. After you set it as "your quest" other people can choose to converse with you off of your radial menu. For each quest there will be a set of Conversation to introduce the character to the quest. The conversations will have a few different "attitudes" to select from to better match your characters personality. You must select a new quest every month. When people successfully complete your quests you gain bonus XP to your Grand Master XP style [Pistol in this case]. Factional mission will offer better rewards to players than non factional.

+300 melee/ranged defense, 5 sec duration, 10 second Cool Down, unable to attack for duration)
Fountain of Knowledge
Off of your radial menu other PCs will be able to find clues to in game riddles that are part of misc quests that incorporate riddles. This function is passive and notcontrollable by the Grand Master [Gunfighter in this case] but placed as part of publishes. The Grand Master will receive an email each time their clues are updated so they are aware of what they know as well.

Wild Fire
Character fires recklessly in all directions, hitting all enemies within range of their pistol, slowing for 5 seconds and intimidating.

Non-legendary characters can choose off of their radial menu to idolize the character, which bestows a short time buff to the character selecting it, in the legendary characters focus. [pistol speed and pistol defense in this case]

Dual Wielding
Requires Matched Pistols, where two of the same type pistols are taken to a Legendary Weaponsmith where they are "matched" on values... i.e. theirmin/max dmg, spd, accuracy, SAC are averaged between the two, resulting in two identical pistols [including matching serials] all stats stack when both are equipped with the exception of speed. doulbe damage, double SAC,averaged speed. The timer for specials remains normal. Accuracy penaltyincurred lessened by Reputation down to 0 penalty at Grand Master Gunfighter.
Sponsor
Allows the Grand Master Character to sponsor non Legendary Characters for special quests from the Faction (or unfactioned) they belong to. The Grand Master character allows the non legendary characters to take new missions from existing NPCs only accessbile through Grand Master characters. If the non legendary character succeeds in their quest the Grand Master characters gains bonus Aspirant XP. If they fail they lose a smaller amount of aspirant xp.

I like dual weilding, but it would be hard to balance it, especially as it would be pistoleer specific (I doubt you'll ever see someone weilding two T21s, would be nuts though).

Actually dual weilding could be as simple as just averaging the damage from the two guns, and either add a bit more damage and make it slower, or just make it so we alternate which gun we shoot (IE we shoot the left gun first, and the second time its the right) and make it a bit faster. Either way we would need a motion of firing both alternatingly, imo. It really cant be that hard, they are just lazy. Look at ranger where they said that cloaking is impossible, only to have a ranger area track a cloaked CSR, and now we have cover, and Jedi Cloak. They can do whatever they want, its all a matter of if they want to.
