I was thinking about other ways to utilize the amazing profession of Pistoleer, currently I'm MP/MCM/Doctor 0004. Just wondering what everyone elseuses in their everyday hunt, loot farming or jedi hunting experiences.

That's my template at the moment, with the FS ranged speed line.

This is want I have/ and working for. Master Smuggler, Master Pistoleer, Master Marksman, Commando xx3x This is the uber crowd controller with both M Pistoleer and M Smuggler and being able to use the flame thrower (AoE weapon) with those attacks. Then you get a little help from Master Marksman with aim and speed bonuses.

I have a quick question about this template. This is also the same template I have on my altbut I find that I am getting hammered in PvP, but I do reasonably well in PvE. I am relatively new to the profession, so forgive my noobiness, am I doing something wrong?


I am using Doc Buffs, Caf, Bofa, and Blob, along with either Booster Blue or Neutron Pixe. Lastly should I use armor or good BE clothing as a pistoleer?


Any help would be appreciated

If you are not using armour, get some.


A big problem with this template is relatively low defences due to MCM. You can often find yourself caught in a healing loop in PvP trying to stay alive, which means you are unable to attack.


That's where the CM Debuffs come in, my Pistoleer guide on the Pistoleer forum has some info on CM in it so may be worth a read.

Hehe, I am using armor, I just wondered whether BE clothes were better. I also read through your guide in the 'Stickies', very helpful, thanks

The BE melee/ranged defence clothes are currently bugged and do nothing to help defence.
