So I've been scanning the posts here and I've come up with this tentative plan for my up and comming Pistoleer. Could you guys shoot holes in it please. ;-

Mstr Pistoleer
Smuggler 0004
Commando 0400
Bounty Hunter 0344

The total General+Pistol accuracy seems outstanding at 260, alot of the great specials, looks like good defenses, but...? This looks to good, what am I missing? Thanks for the help!

(using Kodan's Post CU SWG Prof Calc for the numbers, btw)

Looks good, but why that line in smuggler? Restraining and Reckless Shot?

Could just go for MPistols/MBH and 0/4/0/0 Commando.

I agree with badger getting 2 masters for the advanced specials which have better damage modifiers is better the the +10 more accuracy. MP/MBH/Commando 0-4-0-0 will give you 250 accuracy with general + pistol accuracy. With MBH you get the 60% mitigation you need to move in assault armor.

Note you can get more accuracy and speed from SEA's but you will not find any specials on a SEA.

Ummmm... because it was 2:30 in the morning and I forgot about the Mstr lvl abilities?

Actually, never having had a real high level character before I'm just not sure what to expect when it comes to the best mechanics vs. character concept at those levels. Obviously I want to be as good as possible but at the same time things like not really wanting to wear anymore armor than is absolutely necessary because of character concept and such keep nagging at the back of my mind. So when decisions based on things like armor come along I'm not sure what’s best. Also things like the difference between Improved vs. advanced crit shot, how big of a difference is there? I don't know the numbers.

So basically I'm looking at improved crit shot vs., advanced crit shot.
30% assault armor move mid vs. 60% on armor I'm not sure I can do without or want.
Melee defense 175 vs. 185
Ranged defense 200 vs. 190
Pistol Ranged speed 100 vs. 110
and 260 vs. 245 pistol accuracy.
The rest of the things on either side I really don't know the pro's and con's of or how to benefit from them.

Thanks for all the help!

Another thing to think about is the damage multipliers of the special;

Advanced Critical Shot (1.90 Damage multiplier) - Chance to score a crtical hit.

Don't know on that one, you may have to try the Bounty Hunter board.

How about Master Pistoleer, Master Carbineer and 4x4x Smuggler. You get Advance Stopping Shot for a root, Concussion Shot for a mez, Cripple Shot for a snare, Low Blow, Charge Shot and Advance Firearm Strike for knockdowns, Feign Death for those difficult PvE situations, Disarm Shot to buy you some time, Legshot for damaged dealingand the great Last Ditch (which has been known to hit for 4k).

Mods will be...

General Ranged Accuracy +190
General Ranged Speed +55
Ranged Defence +145
Melee Defence +165
Pistol Accuracy +40
Pistol Speed +45
Pistol Defence +50

Plus you'll have 4 points left over for the FS branch of your choice.

Advanced Critical Shot:

::Kur Talus'ai, TL/ID, Tarquinas:: ::Nightghaunt, SR/AR, Ahazi::
::Daemen Ashe, MP/BH, Shadowfire:: ::Jhaed, FN/WS, Bloodfin::
::Endego Blou, EN/MU, Tempest:: ::Taen Starider, MA, Test Center::

Ah ha! Found it. Heres the mods for the different Critical Shot abilities:

Critical Shot:

Damage Modifier: 1.6
Action Cost Modifier: 16%
Mind Cost Modifier: 2%

Damage Bonus: +25%

Improved Critical Shot:

Damage Modifier: 1.7
Action Cost Modifier: 16%
Mind Cost Modifier: 2%

Damage Bonus: +25%

Advanced Critical Shot:

Damage Modifier: 1.9
Action Cost Modifier: 16%
Mind Cost Modifier: 2%

Damage Bonus: +25%

So to answer my own question theres the difference between the Improved and advanced Crits modifiers... ".2"

Just an FYI for those that may have wanted to know. :-)
