Hi All,

I'd apreciate to hear your thoughts on advancing on Smuggler,

My current Skills are:

Master TK.

Smuggler 0/2/2/0.

Novice Medic.

Marksman 0/4/0/4.

I assume if i take some Skills in Pistoleer it will make Smuggler X/-/X/- easyer to get,

you see... i miss alot (about 2/3 of times).

i use a Scoutie and a Republic (scoutie is a bit more accurate) Both Above Avrage, and sliced for DMG.

I kill anything,,, If i get into trouble, i use TK to help, i usually make 100-150K pistol xp a day...

any advice?

btw- i have 180K unused combat XP... is Pistoleer 0/0/0/2 advancing me??? (what good is speed if i miss).

Thanks, waiting to hear your thoughts...

WR.

Well the speed wil help, but just pick up a few boxes of marksmanship to help a little while lvling up then drop them when you don't need them. But even at master pistoleer i still feel lucky sometimes when i land low blow.

One thing I noticed was a HUGE surge in pistol XP when I picked up pistoleer. My average XP went from 500 to 2k per kill. I don't know if its a bonus to pistol XP with pistoleer, or the fact that you just hit a whole lot more and do so faster. With a few boxes of pistoleer that 150k a day will turn into 350k a day easy.

Join a faction. As a future master smuggler, one of the best ways to make a living is through fp sales.

Once you have a faction, go buy a good set of mind enhancing foods, drinks, and some Muon and Pixie for when things get rough.

Buy1 Acid and 1 Heat damage pistol, have them speed sliced (you'll need it for now, get dmg slices when you're faster- this is about dmg per min and how many stopping specials you can get off)

Go to coronet and pay for buffs

Go to Dantoine and head for a player-placed faction base/HQ of your faction.

Run missions- top paying, 2 in same direction at a time. Use a mount and not a bike to get to them incase the local fauna finds it. (they eat bikes)

I never use armor, you may want to. I ran up DF first, as it directly effected my performance on the battlefield (horay FD!), you may have other priorities like accuracy, in which case Pistoleer Marksmanship 4 is the goal. I made tons of money, ranked like mad, and mastered Smugg in no time... and then promptly got lazy and sat round slicing and selling spice all day. Maybe I need to get back up on Dant...

If you don't want me to "play the forums," then I suggest you make time playing the game more rewarding and less repetitive than "playing" here!
READ THIS before telling me I cannot complain about Smuggler

Get fan shot and join groups. You'll leech crazy amounts of exp off every mob; pistoleer exp no problem after you have this special.

As someone who has powerleveled at least a few combat professions....

I can tell you that at novice levels you are simply not capable of gaining as much xp in a kill as someone who is higher up.

As soon as you reach lvl IV in one of the primary professions xp lines, your effective xp cap will be around 5k from any 1 kill. Where as a novice I think the best they could do all things being equal is about 2 - 3k in xp.
