Thread: Pistoleer or Bounty Hunter?

hi,
i'm a crafter primarily, don't PvP but do PvE and i like using pistols. i've master marksman and master scout and am facing a choice. with the skill points left i can improve my combat skills to either "bounty pistols specialisation 4" or "Master Pistoleer".
master pistoleer looks better imo with the defences but what about some of the specials? ie. is bleedshot better than healthshot2?

Well first off, Bleedshot doesn't drain there health bar, only the mind bar. Second if you have the points do both, be a Master Pistoleer/BH4. If your only going to do PVE then I would Master BH, they rock in PVE. All depents on if you have the skill points.

Personally i'd stay as far away from bountyhunter as humingly possible 
It might give the crazy idea to master it some day and, well .. that's just a pain.
Sure, BH specials is really good, no actually .. they're AWESOME, but pistoleer isn't far away from it.

i found when i wa a bh i faired a hell of alot better in pve than i did with pistoleer (i never got past novice, tho this time i am hehe). Also bh was alot of fun.
Basically do what you think sounds good, the bh missions at novice are a fairly decent way to supplement yer income too.

Okay man here's the deal. BH specials own pistoleer specials. Torso shot is very high damage and catches em on fire a little bit. Eyeshot is a pistol technique that targets the mind and causes blind. Eyeshot is great if you are fighting anyone with any med skills. Bad thing about BH is that you have no defenses though. If I were you.... I would get the pistols line of BH and the the rest in pistoleer. As an almost master bh... i can cause massive dmg with pistol, and kd/dizzy people... however if my kd and dizzy miss (due to stupid elite templates aka tka and rifleman) i get owned very very fast. No status change defense or anything..... BH's are easy to kd. If you want to do PVE and make tons of cash doing missions go for BH, but if you want to pvp.... i'd just pick up the pistol line of BH and use the rest of your skillpoints on medic and pistoleer. Okay thats my two scents....

Master BH's are not good for pvp, Im a Master pistoleer/ BH 3/0/4/0 and I have never lost a duel to a Master Bounty Hunter.
