ok ... i guess ill use it now before i do my lowblow.

I use to use it all the time when I was a novice rilfeman. I use it occasionally when I want to get a good bleed on a moving target that's not arggo'd on me. It basically increases your chance to hit greatly. You also have a better chance of doing increased damage when using it also, although you won't be getting huge jumps in damage you will hit for the higher damages you can potentially do more consistantly after using /aim. I can't recall ever missing after using it either.
As for what I mean about increased damage heres an example that always has stuck in my mind since my early days of just having rifles 4 in marksman.
I had a macro that looked like this.
/aim;
/headshot 2;
/headshot 1;
with this macro, at rifles 4 I would consistantly do over 2k damage to my targets mind pool with just the first shot. The second shot normally killed the target if it con'd white, blue, light blue, green. yellow cons took an additional hit to kill and red cons took me multiple hits to kill. When I used headshot 2 without aim, I still got 2k damage but not every time. Sometimes I would get 1000 or 1500....it was very random.....but when I used aim first and then headshot. my damage was consistantly over 2k and rarely less that 1800.
so if the pistol aiming skill tapes work like they are supposed to then I believe they will increase the effectiveness of the aim command. I don't think they work passively like dodge does.
Since most pistoleers like to get as many shots off as possible, I don't think many people use the aim command as a pistoleer. Like I said, I only use it occasionally. Most of the time It's only when I'm trying to sneak up on a very high level mob and the target is walking around. so I use /aim and do healthshot2 to while using my best weapon to get the best bleed I can get.
NOTE: This was all before the changes to bleeds and before mitigation was introduced so I'm sure things have changed....but /aim still works for increased accuracy. Anytime the number next to a targets name jumps from -25 to +32...thats a very significant boost to your accuracy no matterhow fast a target is moving.
I have quite a few of theseaim SEA's for pistols, carbs, andrifles.....maybe I might test some out on some of my old armor just to document the advantages anddisadvantages since noone elsehas seemed to test it. Anyway, I'm getting a littlebored with pistoleer lately, maybe this may give me something to do.....![]()
I think /aimis okay if you don't have a box or two of accuracy mods from Pistoleer. But honestly, once you get decent accuracy, you're better off running while you shoot, because it makes it very difficult for enemies to hit you. And if you /aim, you stop to shoot, which is NOT good for you as a Pistoleer, because it makes you easier to hit (and you don't get much Ranged Defense to help you out).
A stationary Pistoleer is a vulnerable Pistoleer, so /aim is not your friend unless you don't have any accuracy. That's why I think accuracy is THE skill to get at first, at least a box or two. Then start the run and gun and never look back.
