Thread: Are bleeds back to normal in Publish 7?

Bleeds seem to do a lot less damage now. Are they going back to normal in Publish 7?

Bleeds (and all other DOTs) dont give EXP either...

All bleeds and dots except combat medics poison/disease were nerfed in publish 6.

I've got a couple of threads on the subject lying around here somewhere..


In summary, all bleeds were "nerfed" so that the intial hit deals damage, but the damage over time is about 20% of what it was. The overall damage is about the same; it has just been redistributed. The problem lies in that this initial hit damage is random HAM.


In Publish 7 (on TC now), the damage is returned to health. There will still be the "initial hit" damage followed by reduced "over time" damage, but it will all be health.

Regarding bleeds, does anyone know if the bleed you get from a successful hit with the new modified republic blasters stack with health shot 1 and 2? That would be a total of three health bleeds which if so would be sweet even if they are less powerful than before. The pessemist in me though is guessing that I'm probably wrong. Can anyone confirm?

I believe it does, but health 1/2 stacking bleeds only do like 250 damage per bleed, which is like once every 30 secs. The republic blaster adds like100 to that so even if it does stack its not that great

And like someone brought up before, when HS2 starts hitting only health we may have a much better alternative to BS2 for a health pool shot.

Good point.

Also, HealthShot 1 and 2 do not stack any more. I don't know if the DOT enhanced blasters stack with HS or not. Somehow I doubt it, because it shows up as bleed affect, instead of a poison affect.

the " overall damage " is about the same only if the mob has very low resists . if you are fighting high level mobs the overall damage is a fraction of what it used to be because our initial damage will be reduced greatly due to resists and armor rating of mob , wheras the damage our bleed used to do was not affected by resists and armor rating.

Are you certain about that? Because I no longer need XP (master) I always use hs1 and 2 on anything first, and I could swear I see two bleed icons appear one after anotherover the heads of anything I bleed. I will try actually spacing it out instead of a macro, but unless it's been mentioned officially (and I missed it) I would have to say they should still stack.

They are at normol. And not nerfed really either. NO DOT can be stacked anymore. Not DOTs of same type anyway. So for us, we can't shoot healthshot1 and healthshot2 at the same target at to have them bleed at the same time.


But, the initial hit for a bleed is a lot more damage then it used to be. And they seem to last a bit shorter, but I noticed they do more damage per tick.


So as for those matters, there is no fixing it was intended. But I think they are planning to fixing the initial hit. Right now it's random HAM, and it should be per the bleed type.
