When I mastered pistoleer, it seemed like a great jump. With the expert BH tagged on, it's yet another leap forward. Plus I can do burn damage, AND a lovely mind-targeted blinding shot

Can anyone argue that another pistoleer template is better in combat? Does dirty fighting hold its own against the Expert BH line? I'm curious. This one I have seems like it'd be hard to beat, but I'd be willing to try something new.

I was a Master Smuggler / MasterPistoleer before I decided to work towards Master BH and I like the Pistoleer / BH combo much more than Smuggler. The major difference is you get speed and accuracy mods in BH that you do not get in Smuggler. With Expert BH plus just pistoleer 0,0,4,0 you have more speed than a Master Pistoleer, more than enough accuracy to hit your target and all the defense vs. xxxxxxx that comes with pistoleer.

The only thing BH lacks is a pistol knockdown but I have still had no problems with it. What most people don't realize, especially most BH's who complain about their professionis that BH's get more pistol speed mods than Pistoleer's at Master, and all they need is BH Pistol 4 to get it. A Pistoleer must master the profession to see the full power and speed of the profession.

That is my template as well, and I also love it. You can use any pistol with any speed and still hit the speed cap. The Eye Shot is great and Torso shot is nice, you get a good Health targeted shot 3x damage instead of 2.5 with BS3 along with a fire DoT. Granted there are some nice specials in the smuggler line I wish i had access to. But ya can't have it all =).

I don't think you get any of the Defense vs. XXXXX with that template.

I am also thinking of going this route...any quick Ideas as to how to level the fastest....I know its just the pistol lines in BH but u need scout and Marksmen to get there. Also if u can use Pistoleer specialssuch as stopping shot or fanshot.....can PMD1 be use as a knockdown with the scatter or is it just the BH pistol specials that can be used?

All pistoleer specials can be used with the Scatter, as all of the BH pistol specials can be used with DX2 and other pistols. As long as it is a pistol, you can do it...except the Launcher since we don't get that cert at all.

I don't think you get any of the Defense vs. XXXXX with that template.

With Pistoleer 0,0,4,0 you get the following:

Def vs Knockdown +50

Def vs Blind +40

Def vs Dizzy +40

Def vs Posture Down +20

Def vs Stun +40

The only thing that lacks with this is Ranged and Melee Defense. which is almost nothing.

I used to be Expert Bounty Hunter, Smuggler 0030, Novice Commando, and Pistoleer 0041...It kicked ass...Though PVP accuracy was an issues, as well as total reliance on buffs...

Well. i used to be Expert Bh / Dead-eye / Rogue / Novice Commando and it was amazing. I could use every pistol including the launcher with the best specials in the game (Last Ditch, Torso, Eyeshot, Panic Shot, Low Blow) at the speed cap. Still pistoleers dont get too much accuracy, even with expert bh and dead-eye i think i only had +145 accuracy which in the days of defense stacking is like hitting 1 out of 20 shots. So when the +200 ranged defense goes away, Pistoleers and Bh's can rejoice.
