wow, im really sorry for you guys. i cant find a single thing good about pistoleer except dodge. body shot three is either broke or jsut really really weak. i dont know why yall hang around? can someone explain why i should keep this profession, other than to help me through smuggler./ i mean, are any of the shots any good excetpy for stopping shot and fan shot? please/ someone explain to me what makes this profession goodin pvp or pve. thank

Wow, I've never heard anyone complain that Pistoleer is underpowered, this is a swtich:


It is the fastest ranged weapon in the game. It has the least amount of penalties when you run and use it,Melee defense totally rocks IMO. I've used Melee Defense I to knock down a Rancor, but one of the biggest selling points for me is you have 3 great weapons that all do different types of damage: The DX2 does acid and has light armor piercing, the FWG5 does heat damage, and the Republic Blaster does energy and is light ArmorPiercing.


Dodge rules, I mean block is good and all, but you still take some damage, dodge you take nothing, plus the other defenses. +50 vs Knockdown, and +40 to most of the others.

Please say you're not being serious JodoKai...

1/ Pistoleer is actually the slowest ranged profession, we only get +74 speed, rifles and carbines (i think) get +100, definitely much more than us.

2/ Least penalties whilst moving - great, but we only start with less than half the accuracy riflemen get, so its effectively redundant.

3/ Our weapons have the lowest damage of all ranged, and a max of AP1.

4/ We have state defenses, but pretty poor base defenses (ranged/melee), so we get hit a lot even after dodging.


I'm not flaming, I'm informing and constructively criticising our profession.

Actually, carbineers get 60 speed, but get higher accuracy and higher accuracy while moving.


So they're slower but more accurate and damaging.

I also just mastered this profession 2 days ago .. didn't even bother to post it. Good luck to all you pistoleers, I will sign your petitions to get things fixed but no way I could stay pistoleer.

I totaly disagree with what someone said about the speed. Even though we don't get better mods for it, we still fire faster because of our weapons.

Actualy, someone just looted a legendary T21 today with about 900 max damage and 5.1 speed. But not many rifleman will have that gun since they are extremely rare.

only reason that I am working on pistoleer is to become a better tanker to go with master tera kasi heh

I mastered pistoleer over the weekend and i found it to be not all that bad (in pve anyway)

It doesn't matter about weapon speed - if you have a high enough speed mod you fire at the 1 second cap anyway.

oh yes... lets talk about the defeses. let me tell you a little story... last time i was on dantooine i got stunned all the time, i even thought about getting some of these drinks that give you +10 stun resis or something like that to get at least a little more resistant toituntil i realised that since i got some teaching that day i already had 40 stun resistance...

Hi,


I have also just masterd Pistoleer. But I also have BH pistol 4. I have +155 Acc and 129 speed. It rocks but had to drop Med. All I need now is to find some decent pistols the most powerfull one I have is a FWG5 with 198 max and 1.6 speed.
