This post is primarly for blowing off some steam. Its not ment to be offensive to anyone, if it is I appologies. I pretty sick, havent slept well in quite a while, and just plain pissed off about this profession.

Randob I think your doing a stelar job as our corospdent, I have nothing but respect for you, and matched up agasint other corospodents your probably one of the best ones.

However, and this isnt directed at you, because again, your doing a great job, I still feel angry. I'm sick and tired of being the least fear profession in a fight. Even after the nerf I'm tired of missing people. I'm tired of having to buy millions of credits worth of SEA just to be somewhat functional. I'm tired of not being able to do any damage even with a decent GEO pistol when I do hit people. I'm tired of having to wait.

This game has gone through alot of cycles. Many professions have had their day in the sun. I want ours, and the fleating moment we had at the very begining of the game hardly counts, considering we probably had the least amount of time in the spotlight so far.

What I"m saying is, Randob, go on the corospodent forums and state simply, "We demand attention, not later, not after jedi, NOW, RIGHT **edit**ING NOW." I refuse to wait 4 months or more for a fix. I bloody refuse to do so. And while one player nixing their account isnt a threat, I'm willing to bet dollars to donuts I am not the only one whose going to be gone in a month or two. I'm not saying that pistoleer should be utterly fixed tomarrow. What I am saying is, fix us, you dont have to completely fix us, just fix us a little. GIVE ME A REASON TO BELEIVE ITS WORTH WAITING 4 or more months to see what happens. I have been a master pistoleer a long time, and over the past 2 months it has given me nothing but greif. So again I ask, as a favor to us all, as a player yourself, as a favor for everyone who pays to play as a pistoleer, dont just request, dont just ask for, DEMAND ATTENTION, and demand it NOW. Tell them how it is, spell it out for them. Let them know just how bad things are right now. Tell them how many will quit, how many will give up. Tell them a handful of jedi isnt worth more then thousands of paying customers. Tell them were not aksing for a full revamp, tell them we just want something ANYTHING to make us feel usefull. Because I for one wont be around in a month or two if nothing happens to find out the combat revamp got pushed back AGAIN in 4 months if nothing changes soon.

Again I think you do a stellar job, and are one of the best coro's of any profession. But I cant take it much more, and I'm not changing professions. All I ask and I know it sounds like alot and it is, but at least lie to me and tell me you demanded something ANYTHING...

Can't argue with you on any level.

I do enjoy playing - but that's mainly due to the people I play with - the game itself is becoming more and more irritating.

My personal view is that the completion of the original launch content is more important than any new content, any expansions and basically needs to be implemented now to regain the faith of the many players who will likely shortly be leaving.

We've got World of Warcraft, EQ2 and other coming out very soon and unless people round here see a marked improvement in attitude from the Devs I think a lot of people will leave.

Sad but true.

I agree, I haven't mastered pistoleer yet but this is such a terrible uphill struggle.

Yet your idea for a little pistoleer revolt is probably not going to catch on, which is a shame (I'd really like to see that).

But I'm with you all the way.

I just dont get it. Why not just play a different profession? Its not like it takes months and months to become a Master at anything in this game, possible exception being Jedi.

Is the problemthat your idea of what a pistoleer should be doesn't mesh with what a pistoleer in this game is?

I don't think anyone who reads these boards isn't aware that there are issues.

We all know what a pistoleer has problems with, but what is a pistoleer good at?

-We have very low HAM cost specials
-We have very low HAM cost weapons
-We have pistol whip, which can do a knockdown
-We have bleeds
-We have among the highest state change defenses of any combat profession.
-We have cheap weaponry when compared to other combat professions.
-We have range mitigation 3
-We dont look like a goof while riding a speeder and having weapon equiped
-We run like a normal person...mostly... whith weapon equiped (hehe carbineers look funny)

I'm a pistoleer I enjoy it. I do ok, I dont do tons of damage really fast, but I last long in a fight, with only moderate healing, my specials dont kill me.

Anyhow, just saying its not worth getting worked up over. Just change professions for a bit if you think that pistoleer wont get better fast enough for you. Theyve (Producer et al.) Have stated that they are working on combat balance. What more do you want? Give em the time to do it right. Maybe take a more calm profession up for a while...chef anyone? (Just kidding here) or go see a movie.

But seriously mate,maybe just take a break from pistoleer if its causing you to be angry.

Forgive me Gooney - I have to respond to your post.

This is in no way a flame, attack or anyhting of that ilk.

I too have fun as a pistoleer - but that's in spite of the profession, rather than because of it.

My concern is this; Any MMOG requires a core of players to make it fun, to be honest that's what makes the game - there is now a truly massive amount of frustration about the lack of progress in this game. The issue isn't isolated to Pistoleers - check virtually any forum and you'll find a lot of unhappy people.

So my point is this - frustrated people will not keep paying to be frustrated forever.

This game has the potential to keep me playing for a long time - but only if I start to see some real effort from the Dev's to solve the myriad of problems that currently exist.

We are all paying customers - we have the right to expect some real customer support.

I agree with Gooney... it's not all that bad, with a bit of practice you can find that Pistoleer really has some massive strengths, and yes, I never thought of it as being cheap credit wise but it definately is!

I was feeling pretty annoyed for a long time about the various broken moves but then I took a real step back from the profession, looked at its good points and played to them.

Its a great PvP template, you can hit people from 64m away and still have amazing defenses.

AT-ST? Bah! RDM3!!! (And a 80% energy resist helmet)

TKM? Def Vs KD +50!

I know I have CM to back me up but I have actually killed other players via health damage with Fan Shotsbefore the mind poison has ticked enough to incap them.

I understand what your saying Shaw, and I agree. I think I just disagree with the common belief of a very vocal and undoubtably frustrated minority.

The common misconception is that the devs aren't doing anything. Well thats not true and everyone knows it. Just look at the state of the game now compared to what it was at launch. Its really hard to make folks understand how difficult developing and putting live large online systems are. Especially with out sounding like a pompous ass. There so many variables and testing takes time.

That being said I really belive that Galaxies should take a page from the Mythic crowd. There is no reason that they couldnt put together something like the Camelot Herald. A priceless, easy to navigate, informative web page.

What I think most folks are most frustrated is the way that changes and information on changes is presented. That information has to be more consistant...just like the Mythic Friday Grab-bag.

Anyhow, there ya have it.
