Thread: How duel weield would solve alot of problems

Ok, im only novise pistoleer, having picked it up yesterday as a ranged complement to TKA and after looking over these boards i get the impression one of the main problems with this proffesion is the speed issue. the whole point of pistols is that its low damage but really fast , but the speed cap is hindering this so that theres not much benefit over more powerfull ranged proffesions, right?
But, if we had duel weild, then one pistol could fire normally, the other could fire at sayhalf speed or 1/4 speed, with less of a difference as you progressed up the skill tree.
Not only this but it would make us THE coolest looking players ever, and i dont think we'd care how many broken specials we have if this was implemented

We are getting dual wield, yes. But the way I understood it is that we will have two weapons firing one after the other...
The speed issue is not truely that much of a problem. What I say... Just give Smuggler +5 pistol speed in two of the dirty fighting lines... but I know that would never happen.
I'd like to see pistol speed increased for pistoleer myself... But that would make it easier for Bounty Hunters to max out their pistol speed. There is a problem here you see... ?
But I can't wait for the dual wield, just cuz it'll look cool

our profession just needs a total overhaul /sigh
i do agree that smugglers should get some of that pistol speed and/or even perhaps commandos with their launcher pistol they use
if dual wield proves effective, i'd get novice commando to run around with two launchers ![]()

Are we realy getting dual wield?
Would somebody be so nice to post a link to some official word on this?
I havent read anything about Pistoleers getting dual wield but id love it.

I very much doubt they're going to let us run around with two pistols that are designed for single-usage equipped. I see dual-specific AOE or multihit specials with specially-constructed matched pairs of pistols that together would be LESS than the total sum of thestats of two single-wields but greater than one.

The only way we'll ever get an AP3 weapon is if it has a 20m effective range. A Desert Eagle (for example's sake) wouldn't be able to hit sh*t at 64m except air.

and also, all of those talks about BH's and Smugglers also getting them. didn't they say "Pistoleers"
Could be that it will only be a Master Pistoleer ability.
