Hi there pistoleers,
I am looking for you input on finalizing my template. It's not ueber (it isn't supposed to be) but it contains all the professions that I like and nothing more. I don't care about PvP, am not interested in pets and don't need a holo to tell me what to do with my time online (if you catch my drift).
All I want is a sweet set of skills for my character that I can actually enjoy.
With that out of the way, I am looking at creating the following character:
1) Master Rifleman -- just because I love rifles (dont shoot me!) This prof I will ALWAYS keep
2) Master TKA -- "So little Rancor... you decided to get up close, huh."
3) Smuggler 0140 -- Able to slice terminals, Feign Death & Last Ditch, coolness-factor and for-the-love-of-Han
Now, as for 4), I am of course looking to Pistoleer to enhance my pistol-whipping skills. In total I will have 27 skill points (sp) left. With 6 spent on Novice P. that leaves 21 sp to be spent. To max out on that, I am best of spending it in a line of 2 and a line of 3.
After reading through what has been posted so far about dabbling in Pistols, I came up with 0203. Would very much like you, more professional Pistoleers, to comment on that.
Thanks!
Vita

I'd also advise 0-2-0-3 for a Smuggler template, since accuracy and speed are your two greatest shortcomings.

I thought so much Jeswin, thanks for your post.
Anyone with a different solution?

I'd actually switch it up and do 0-3-0-2. I'd trade the accuracy for the speed. The difference in speed is negligible between 2 and 3 IMHO.

That depends on which specials you intend to use. For Last Ditch, every point in speed is crucial

Forget about last ditch and about the pistol specials. As a master rifleman you have a far more powerfull weapon. Ranged KD is overrated. Last ditch is a joke compared to master head shot. But definately keep feign death.
How about this for an idea.
Master Rifleman
Master TKA
Pistoleer 0/0/4/2
Smuggler 0/1/3/0
Pros
- At or near melee defense cap +125
- Nearly impossible to KD
- Likelyhood of dizzy causing you to fall down will be seemingly nill.
- Very difficult to posture change, stun, blind

note that the high defenses aren't that helpful. state attacks always have a 10% chance to stick, even with +9999 defense vs. state.
