Thread: Made a DE-10
I just made a DE-10 this morning. I wasn't sure if you guys had seen the upated stats or not.

The actual gun looks great. The stats . . . I dunno, you tell me. This was the first ranged weapon I have ever made. The resources used were mostly good but not amazing. Several of them were near maxed but a few had room for improvement. I'm a 12 point weaponsmith and I put the extra points into HAM.
It required a looted schematic and a looted DE-10 barrel. One question that needs to be asked of the devs is: is the pistol barrel intended to have no stats? Currently they are dropping with no stats at all. I wonder if it was balanced with this taken into account. With better resources it should get a little bit better (it currently requires the exact same resources as a Republic Blaster but I imagine that might change). With stats on the pistol barrels it might get significantly better.

Spd slow, but I've heard a component needed has no stats, so, it could be lower, right? Maybe a speed slice could be used?
With my Smuggler/Pistoleer combo, that would be awesome to have as a smuggler weapon! Probably not, though.
Maybe make it a Master Pistoleer and/or Master Smuggler cert?

Are you guys serious about the DX2 thing? I have never seen a DX2 with damage like that, even with a damage slice.
The HAM costs on this weapon are murder. It does deal a lot of damage per shot and it's pretty slow, so that should offset it somewhat. The accuracy is pretty bad; probably the worst yet. Maybe the barrel was supposed to have some? I'm not sure how pistols are crafted.
I still don't like that this is another AP1 Energy pistol.
I dont know why you all are saying the damage is like the dx2. Average DX2's on my server are 100-156 unsliced, these things have 30 higher min and 80 higher max. Personally, I'm coming around on this weapon and am looking forward to using it. If you have speed tapes or the BH line, then you will be able to fire this thing fine - and the damage will be insane.

My DX2 is 165-233 at 2.1 (speed sliced)
The accuracy needs to be looked at. For the rest, imo they need to change only one thing - AP, speed, damage or damage type - to make the gun viable.
Maybe the high HAM costs arethe result of an accuracy-experimented scope? I have a Striker with quite similar HAM stats.
