That was just fantastic. I never thought I'd see the day that another weapons correspondant would come to our defense. If you read this board.. thank you very much for that. Anyways go check out vass's post on the test forum if you don't know what I'm talking about. (:

The Rifleman correspondant is a guildie of mine and a great guy and knows his game. Like many people he knows the weapon's classes str's and weaknesses. Dis II was our gem and we lost it .

You'd be surprised how, once you get through the spam and insults and other stupidity, that under the surface there are a lot of folks out there that are pretty calm and make some good sense.

Folks from OTHER professions that are willing to admit that removing Pistoleers one really good shot is a major blow to the class.

And folks from the Pistoleer profession willing to admit that an AE ranged knockdown is probably overpowered (although hard to say after all the general KD nerfs if it would still be that big a deal), and as long as they replace it with something that is still worthy of being a master level skill, that it should be OK (well, that plus fixing our other broken specials )

Of course without those two things the Pistoleer class does start to look awfully weak unless you dabble in BH as well.

I agree, with the exception of a few trollers, everyone wants their profession mastery to have a serious incentive to spend those extra points other than just some title flying over their head. I hope Master Pistoleer(this is the pistoleer forum) will be worth the effort as I'm only 3 skill boxes away. As it stands now, doubt this will be the case in the short-run. Hopefully the long-run will hold a different opinion
