Thread: What's the deal with our specials targeting random HAM pools?

This makes no sense. It means that not only do I have to worry about missing, I have to worry about my shots hitting a HAM pool where the damage will have been useless. It would be different if, say, MultiTargetPistolShot did some kind of useful status effect (in PvE.. I never PvP). Then I wouldn't feel like a complete fool for using it. Not that I'm a master yet. To the contrary, I've only gotten Novice Pistoleer. But the road ahead looks like a crappy one...

uh because that's the way all classes are

You have plenty that targets a single pool, and there's plenty that don't. That's the way all classes are built.

No, we dont have plenty shots that target one ham pool. We have 1 in the Pistoleer line. The rest come from Novice Marksman. The one that does target one ham pool is broken. How many shots do Rifleman have that target only mind? How many shots do Carbineers have that target only action?

Pistoleer is no where near as powerful as they make us out to be with the random ham shots that are prevelant in the class.

I agree. I find myself using the special shots in the marksman line more often then the pistoleer specials because the pistoleer shots aretoo random. Stoping shot is a good example of a shot I'd like to use more often, but don't because I can never be sure if it's going to target the HAM pool I need it to target. It's a shame to spend all those skill points on a shot I don't use half as much as a shot I got in the Novice marksman line.

Yes and by the time they hit the mind pool twice you have been shot 3 times by a real mind shot and you are dead.

Uh this isn't much of an answer. Just because other classes are broken doesn't mean that's the way it should be. Shot's hitting random pools is a terrible idea. Why not just make all combat based on a roll of the dice?
