Thread: Jaegen, when is the Dx2 armor going to work?
Tell me if I am correct in the following forumula:
Dmg = 89 - 140, attack speed = 2.2
So, the formula should be 89 + 140 = 229, then divide 229 by 2 to get your average hit = 114.5, then divide that number by the speed = 52dmg/second. Speed mods not added.
THEN, if you had a light piercing weapon you would reinsert the .25 multiplier for dmg. So really the dmg for a light piercing weapon should be 111.25 -175dmg, 2.2 speed. Thus making the dmg per second = 65dmg/second.
My DX2 is not showing the extra dmg. Whats up with this?:
Feisty Mangyman
Gorath
Your formula is correct against AR0 targets with no acid resists. Although parsing the log or watching the combat window will never prove it. The dmg add from armor only occurs in the number over the targets head.
But yesmy DX2 only adds 25% bonus damage on some VERY RARE creatures with AR 0. Luckily the AP1 is being taken into account on AR1+ targest. So the DX2 is usually the best weapon for the job on an AR1 or higher target.
I too want this fixed. Needs to be /bugged by lots of pistoleers and needs to show up in our issue reports.
I picked up a 98 - 151 DX2 last night and sliced its speed to 2 seconds flat. It didn'tseem tohit harder than my FWG5 which is 50 - 185 at 1.6 seconds versus AR0 opponents - though, frankly, it may not. I'd have to compare the DPS. What I really I want to know is how it works vs. AR1 opponents. Resists to Heat and Acid being equal, that's where it should shine.

I don't know, we have that exact issue detailed in the issues report we just sent. Even the 1st issues report mentions the DX2 stats. Hopefully, soon.
I'm having the same trouble with my Scatter Pistol (no DX2s on my server). I think I nailed it down though. If the target is vulnerable to acid, it does full damage (without the bonus for the AP being higher than the AR of the creature). So what's happening is vulnerability is dropping every type of dmg change including increases from differing AP/AR.
I could be wrong so start checking and comparing for yourselves.
