I bought a republic pistol, really nice looking, yesterady. I m novice pistoleer and couldnt use it. So i gave it to a master pistoleer and he couldnt use it properly as well.

Is this a bug. Or is it a gun for a special tree? i m really confused here. Pity ..this gun eats light armors...

No one can use them.

I can't use one, EVEN THOUGH MY SKILL LIST ALLEGEDLY HAS THE CERT IN THERE!

No idea.

as far as I know you have to be a rebel to use one no matter the class. but I have yet to find a reblic pistol to use in the first place.

I bought one yesterday, I'm a Rebel, and it still doesn't work. It'd be a nice alteritive to the heat based FWG5 considering theres a lot of heat imune mobs.

Being in the rebel faction makes no difference.

The cert for this weapon has been missing since beta and cannot be found in any tree, unless its been hidden in the Jedi tree for some reason.

I also have one of these pistols in my collection and its stats are nice, its a light armour piercing blaster that does energy dammage and fires green DX2 looking bolts.

The cert for it showed up in the Marksman tree with the patch yesterday. However, it doesn't seem to actually be enabled as everyone is still getting the "not enough skill" message when using it.

Just a thought, but maybe you must be an OVERT rebel scumto use it.

That's very... bizarre. I've got a qualification for it too, and I'm just an intermediate pistoleer.

*mutters* The only reason I purchased the darn marksman skill tree is to use that blaster. I like it.

Oh well, back to my trusty Ryyk blade I go...

Hopefully the Devs are aware of this and will fix it in one of those short patches they always put up.

I saw I had the republic blaster in my weapon certs, havn't gotten one to use though.

The one I bought for only 3.5K does 40-158 2.9 secs 15/41/15 HAM wound chance 17.9% with light armor piercing capabilities and it's energy damage with a 64 foot range. It'd be the best pistol in the Marksmen tree if the got it to work. Bet you could get much better stats out of it with the rare metals Master Weaponsmiths are using to make FWG5s with.

Hmmm... I HIGHLY doubt that being a Rebel has anything to do with it, since the Emperor gave me a Republic Blaster after a mission from him today.

If they fix this spec, I'm gonna DEFINATELY test run a few of these beauties, all sliced up nice.

See thread for Republic Blaster, actual name for the weapon. The cert is bugged. You can get one by doing a quest for one of Lady Valerian's cronies in Mos Eisly. Everyone has the cert in there list, try making a newbie on another server.

Also, as an overt Rebel, I can confirm that being a Rebel has nothing to do with using the gun.
