Pistoleer Archive

Now that I've mastered pistoleer, I'm wondering what to do with it. Up to now I've mainly hunted creatures, but after reading a bit on these boards, I'm understanding that our defenses are quite good against ranged opponents. So, I'm looking for ideas. What, or who, should I go out and hunt now? I don't wear armour often, just a set of high kinetic resist chitin for when critters get close, so it's not in the equation. And I don't PvP, nor am I interested in doing so.

So basically, what new challenges lie before me? What should I try to go after?

You could try Nightsisters, they're mean. Faction targets maybe. Each planet has NPCs native to it.

Are the bonuses going to work against force powers?

Sisters dont use the force, they use regular weapons.

Have you been there since the last patch.... now they use lightning/choke/throw gravel at you... all that fun stuff.

heh heh. Yeah a dragoon lit our party up. Nice change of pace!

hehe, came across a ranger with a party of 3 walkin to a mission... force drain is a nice little attack, had my buffs (over 3k on all stats, 2k on secondaries) nullified, looked at my character sheet and i was down to something like 90 action 2 mind and 10 health... just enough to let my group tank and shoot a special every 15 seconds

yes, NS now use force and no, you have no defense against it (unless you're jedi). you may be able to solo some of the lesser NS or escaped slaves but unless your other profession is TKM or something, good luck on anything more powerful than an initiate.

I contest. A sister shot some kind of purple lightning at me last night in the Nightsister villiage. I dodged, so yes the defenses appear to have worked.
