Ok, I've been playing the game since the first day of release but I haven't spent a whole lot of time in PvP until recently (and man have I been getting my butt handed to me). So I am asking for some help. I am a Master Marksman/Pistoleer 0-0-2-0 (will be 0-0-3-0 shortly). I wear a decent set of Composite Armor and I use food buffs for Health, Action and Mind. Right now, I tend to use Healtshot2 to start the combat and then I try to bodyshot2 for health damage, unfortunately I am not staying alive long enough to make a difference, yeah I bleed people pretty good but they are still lasting longer than I am. (I'm not looking to get flamed here, I am really new to the combat portion of the game and just want to get better so I can enjoy it, I also have very limited Skill Points left as I am a Mayor and a Master Mechant). Any help would be great.

Thanks,

Unfortunately, if you have limited skill points and thus cannot really dabble in multiple professions, then Pistoleer is one of the worst trees to climb. A Pistoleer needs the Smuggler or BH specials in order to do anything serious in PvP. About the only thing you can do is Fanshot people packed in a group and either do cone damage to all of them or hope the AOE bug happens and you hit the same target a bunch of times. The Pistoleer tree lacks both serious damage and state effects.

TKA probably provides the most "bang for the buck" at the non-master level, although Fencer is pretty decent, too. If you can take an elite profession all the way to Master but can't dabble much else, then Rifleman or any of the three non-Pikeman Brawlers are still playable alone.

Hmmm, I wouldn't suggest taking fencer for fighting without master brawler. It's really a lost cause without that against any melee or kiting fighters.

Most likely, just do what you can to get some TKA defenses.
