My holo said to master pistoleer. Oh, boohoo. I was actually hoping it would say so, but I had to drop ranger,
. Anyhow, living on lok gives me great xp opportunities. So, I've been taking mynock pack lairs. Great xp per kill, and relatively fast (though, not as fast as when i'm unarmed but that's a different story). Here's my problem, I use the pistol melee defense 1 attack, then I warcry. No problem, warcry may not land, but the pistol melee defense 1 will usually. So, it's on the ground and the first attack I use is the concentrated shot. It'll then say, "You use concentrated shot for 1200 damage and the lowland salt mynock evades it" or "bla bla bla and counterattacks". Now, how can a target laying flat on the ground evade that shot? I thought the entire purpose of the knockdown is to increase the chance of hitting them. I can literally not knock them down and miss fewer times than when they're knocked down. Is this a bug? Secondly, I've tried using pistol melee defense 2 many times and everytime I use it, I get the "you were unsuccessful at changing your opponents stance" or somethning like that. I read in the faq that the attack isn't meant to have a knockdown. If that's the case, why get that message?

1) yup, that sounds like a bug. Of course knocking them down is actually to prevent them from attacking you, not necessarily to make them an easier target Lol! ![]()
2) The FAQ (at least the one I just made) does NOT say that /meleePistolDefense2 is not a knockdown... where did you read this?? (The 1.0 FAQ?)

Same problems here- i do tkm kd 2 on stuff on my alter-toon and then miss like crazy with a pistol. One time in pvp against a pistoleer/fencer, I ACTUALLY LANDED A KD, then proceeded to have 12 shots dodged while he was on the ground....

I missed an FS NPC with 12 consecutive KD's, turned around and KD'd his buddy on my first try. I don't know if it's just bad luck or a bug, but it doesn't happen to me very often.
