I can respect your concern and your interest. I have dabbled with pistols, rifles and carbines. What it all comes down to is does this profession fit your personality and game style. As far as balancing and profession changes I have held Master Artisan since the game was first publicallyreleased and been a creature handler since all of their "Rebalancing". Personally I like Pistoleer the best because I think it meshes the best with Creature Handler. I'm even considering giving up many of my Artisan skill to gain Master Pistoleer.
I think the question should be, " Is this proifession what you really want to be no matter how it's changed ".

Hi folks - just wondering with all that's happening (Combat Balance Revamp, Bleed changes) where do we think the pistoleer is going?
Now I think the Pistoleer has a lot of potential, andI enjoy playing- but there are a number of 'gamey' issues that need addressed.
1. We're close range fighters - pistols should eb short range - fairly obvious - but the melee classes have a range of 20m - so we need to be able to fire at them without getting flattened! Whether this is melee def, melee mitigation or improved close quarters dodge it MUST be addressed as we go forward.
2. We have the lowest damage output of any combat class - we'd be better off throwing some of our pistols than firing them! Either increase our speed or implement a skill to counter the effects of ranged mitigation ( i prefer the latter if we're supposed to be close quarters gunmen)
3. Fix our specials - OH WON'T SOMEONE PLEASE THINK OF THE SPECIALS! - they've been broke for months with no support - and if they're not fixed in the combat revamp i can see a lot of pistoleers changing profession. Oh, and lets make sure that this time the specials actually have meaningful names
4. Armor - This is personal preference but I don't understand why pistoleers should need to wear armour - it just doesn't fit with the concept. Can anyone tell me if armour affects how much you dodge? Because if it doesn't it **edit** well should.
5. Overall I like being a pistoleer - if we could just get balanced a bit better we'd be a riot to play.
So what do you think? Where are we going? What needs to change? What is the fastest land animal? Why do men have nipples?
