Eventually I will become a 0044 Pistoleer (omg a dabbler i am :smileytongue
. Anyway I heard that the DX2 atm is a crappy pistol to choose. In your opinion, which pistol should i fall back on? I heard that the FWG5 was a good choice.

Well depends on the target and situation is my answer. I personally carry seven pistols with me at all times.
Pre-nerf Standard FWG for general heat vulnerable targets
Pre-nerf Krayt FWG for special situations.
DX2 for acid vulnerable tragets and PvP
Tangle Pistol for Comp wearers
Striker pistol for Kinetic vulnerable targets (Nightsisters anyone?)
Rebulic Blaster - For energy vulnerable targets
Power5 or DL44 for looks and to shoot weaker mobs just for fun.
