Thread: Opinions on this Master Pistoleer/Smuggler template.
I'd like your opinions on the following template:
Master Pistoleer
Master Smuggler
Marksman 0/4/0/4
Brawler 4/0/0/0
Medic 1/0/4/0
TKA 4/0/0/0
This would be primarily for PvP and some PvE now and again.
I'm open to suggestions specifically on the Medic Trees and whether or not the skillpoints in Ranged Support I-IV of Marksman would be better spent elsewhere, thanks.

Hmmm, If I drop Ranged Support from Marksman I can put all the SP gained into Medic, so would manage quite a few more boxes, and don't use the Ranged Support specials anyway, and will pick up an Aakuan Ring for Ranged Defence +5.
Now it's just a matter of deciding which Medic boxes to fill, as I should be able to fill more than just 3/1/0/0.

I didnt realise there was enough SP for Master Pistol/Smuggler/TKM, and my guildmates are suggesting that direction too saying that the novice medic skills won't be as useful as I think in PvP due to mind costs.
Decisions, Decisions.

I tend to disagree.Both you and the original poster. I findat least exploration 1 to berequired.The problem with KnightHawks is thefact that you depend ona friend for heals. And friends are NOT always there. Here is my personal template:

Now, for the original poster. Thats a very good template. Except, I find scout to really be a must personally, so I would go:
Master Pistoleer
Master Smuggler
TKA 4-0-0-0
Scout 3-0-0-0
Medic 2-0-0-0 or go Scout 1-0-0-0 and Medic 2-0-3-0 (high value Stim Cs)
Thats just my opinion. As for money, resources

I gave up all of my scout skills last week, and I'm loving every minute of it. I have been chained to Explore 3 since 4 weeks after release, and I'm happy as a clam to be rid of it.
The only drawback so far has been Dathomir, but that is only because a nightsister rancor ate my speeder (**edit**!). Once the patch rolls through and we can have 3 in our datapad and pull them without camps i'll be sitting pretty.
My final build will be something like:
Master Smuggler, Master Gunfighter, TKA 4-0-0-4, Novice Medic & Artisan.
My heals (even with 400 base stim B's) downright SUCK with just novice medic so I may just dump it all together, freeing up yet another set of skill points i've been chained to forever.
I'm a resource seller, so I must keep artisan, but thats cool. I'd like to pick up Bus. 4 again, but mostly for the title. I loved PvPing as a "Businessman". ![]()
I just don't run up too many hills while in PvP...
