Thread: Question for a new pistoleer

I have decided to drop my commando and smugglerand head over to MCH and master pistoleer for a change. I just started pistoleer last night but have a few questions. What is a good pistol to grind with? Right now I have a republic blaster and it does decent damage, but is there a better one to use? If anyone has any suggestions on what I should pick up please let me know!

Use the pistol that best suits the target you are attacking. I carry around a Republic Blaster, FWG5, and DX2. I currently hunt on Endor and find that a lot of the mobs are heat resistant so I use the DX2.
Personally, I would go with a Rifle with CH. That way you can keep your distance while your pet does the dirty work.

Aye, either go rifles or keep smuggler. The dirty fighting tree is invaluable to pistols.

As much as I would like keep smuggler (Dirty tricks KD would be invaluable!) I can't due to my desire to keep medic. Pet stims are just too much to use them on a regular basis and I like the ability to heal myself.
Why do you suggest rifleman...it seems like most pets attack the health HAM of enemies, so I figured that sticking with pistoleer would allow me to aid in that attack rather then target another HAM bar.
