Thread: Pistol Whip 2, Does it not work?

I picked up pistoleer to complement my smuggler, planning to master it. Just yesterday I got Pistol Whip2, and thought it was supposed to act the same as pistol whip one, just do more dmg. It hasn't knocked down a single opponent yet, although pistol whip 1 knocks down lots of the same creatures. Is it broken? Pistol Whip one gives me a notice every time I use it, even if it doesn't knock the opponent down, but Pistol Whip 2 gives no notice at all. Untill I figure something out, I've went back to pistol whip 1.

It's been bugged for a long time now, so no it doesn't work. Just stick with Pistol Melee Defense 1.

pistol whip is the name of pistol melee defense 1 in the combat window, while pistol melee defense 2 is pistol smash,

The mutiplier is 4.1, which is pretty good (Fan Shot is 4.0). It hardly ever knocks down though, which Keldarin said at Fan Fest was an oversight that will be fixed. He didn't say when, but at this point we can probably assume the CB. We've been fighting, trying to get some simple combat fixes in before then, but it just hasn't happened.

yah but it's all good
with everyone having to play smarter after slight nerfs and such, we'll have already been trained in the ways of fighting smarter since we must just to merely "get by" in relation to other professions
