I've been looking around a lot of the other forums, mainly the pistoleer and rifleman forum and there's a lot of hostility between us and them and a lot of griping on their part about the combat balance. Seems that the vast majority of the combat professions are talking about the "combat balance" and the word "revamp" seems to be in every thread, except riflemen who are calling it a nerf

Well, I've been looking at this whole combat balance thing since the DE-10, a post combat balance pistol with nice (ish) damage but is ungodly slow. The devs tell us this is a post combat balance pistol and after the revamp we will be able to use it quite efficiently. Then there's jedi, these guys are being revamped massively in the next patch, they're new powers and abilities are based on post combat balance figures like the DE-10 is. The Teras Kasi Razor Knuckler, another post combat balance entity was pulled from TC without warning after the devs noticed it was "overpowered" That's the background, now onto the questions for discussion...

Firstly, why have the devs added this content based on post combat balance systems before the combat balance goes live? Surely this aids unbalance untilthe revamp actually takes off...

Secondly, what is the combat balance? I don't know, nobody on the forums know, do the devs know? I'm not sure whether or not they do personally, but it's something to consider and talk about I think.

and finally, when is the combat balance? the timesheet had it starting in december when all the mobs and creatures changed, then there's all the combat fixes that were allegedly part of the balance, the balance was, according to the timesheet due to end by now, there were delays and we were assured it would be in place this summer along with the jedi revamp, I have heard rumours on chat and in game stating the CB has again been delayed, until november...

That's the discussion points laid out, I hope the community can have a nice civilised discussion regarding the future without any flaming, and maybe we can get some answers for those questions. I leave the floor open to you now...
