To effectively take someone out? I have

Master Pistoleer

Smugger 0040

BH 0040

What attacks should I use first, that kind of thing?

i would use /low blow then do torso shot, then i would bring out the geo pistol or if there not wearing armor your most damaging gun and do eye shots or if you prefer last ditch do that instead

if there melee try to keep them blind and stun, blind = less accuracy, stun = there defenses go *poof*

hope this helps

start off with some state effect, like the bleed from bleed shot (might give them a mind bleed which is great), and maybe torso shot. I wouldn't necessarily go with low blow, because it doesn't keep the person on the ground long enough, especially if they have good defense vs KD. I would also say hityour opponentwith a few last ditch shots untilhe/sheis stunned, then just spam eye shot. Of couse, it is invaluable to be buffed, armored(preferably with a PSG), eat food and use a geo sonic pistol.

/lowblow then eyeshot just lowblow to initial kd Ive rarely been able to hold someone down. If your a person who likes last ditch use that but most of the time lowblow and eyeshot will slaughterpeople. (but remember defense foods your defense is pretty weak)

Kite.

Kite like you're running a marathon against the guy (hehe... Fencer/TKM's hate it).
NEVER stop moving for anyone.
Chug down a synth steak and one of those ++Accuracy foods (I forget) if the target has ANY sort of melee weapon.
Lay the burn on 5-8 times with /torsoshot, and pummel away with the /eyeshot's (especially effective for Fencer/Doc's).
Get up in their face if you see a rifle/carbine and STAY in their face (force them to move around).
Fire off a /lowblow every 5-8 shots until you stick one.

And kite some more.

I can remember in one duel I was in as a pistoleer where I didn't kite a TKM the whole time. I kited for a while eyshotting him then charged him with pistol whip and finished him off while he was on the floor. Spectators around the outpost were quite impressed.

I have also kited a riflemen as a pistoleer after sticking a nice burn with torso shot, with master scout burstrun he was incapped from the flame before I slowed down again. He was a little pissed, but laughing.

Number one rule for duelling. Enjoy yourself. It's important to get the win, but every now and then, risk losing just to make the other guy look the fool, have some fun, it is a game after all.

I can't believe everyone missed one of the most helpful things he could do at the start of any duel/fight.

Intimidate from the start and when it wears off reapply it ASAP. Intimidate cuts their defenses and reduces the damage they do to you by 50%. Stun will cut their defenses and reduce their damage do to you by 25% which stacks with intimidate.

There's alot of different other tatics but ALWAYS keep who your fighting intimidated.

Wow, smuggler sounds interesting... Would it mean I'd be able to Stun and Intimidate?

I'm BH pistols/ Master pistoleer / 1333 Squad Leader now, but soon I'm going to give it up and go full combat again..

Would smuggler be a good option? What does lowblow do? Is taking a bit of Fencer a better option?

Intimidate and stun, thanks for the reminder. Those two states, if you can stick them make a lot of difference, just be careful with melee types as they can return them and you don't want a 75% reduction on pistol damage. lol.

Oh yeah, shoot a guildie in the head with eyeshot and you geo a few times and get to learn the average damage, if you EVER in a duel notice you're not doing your average damage, switch to a scatter pistol and keep on eyeshot. Since they sneaked AP back into PvP combat a while back the scatter pistol is once again viable, my damage slice scatter pistol is great. 154-192 damage, mitigate that Remember that the scatter pistol, with it's tight damage range is often better, DPS than your high damage weapons regardless of the figures, try it and see, you can barely notice the difference between your shots.
