i was just wondering if becoming a pistoleer is worth the effort. Ive been reading thiings that say becoming a pistoleer and a ch work well together. i was just wondering if that was true.

Stay away from this broken profession. It will make your hair fall out. And I heard in rare cases it causes a person to go sterile

I think its fun, I have Master pistols and BH pistol 4. Depends what you want to do in the game.

Pistols are not very good against Beasties not the best PVE. Ok PvP if you have eye shot and a good geo blaster.

Its a good profesion to stack with a melee profesion because it has good defenses.

But if you want to be good at PVP and PVE TK is the one to go for .

Basically its the worst (least amount of damage done) combat proffesion but nice defenses.

The reason I have stuck with it is because once you have good armour food etc your combat proffesion doesnt matter that much in PvP.

And I like starwars! and I have watched the films again but can't find any swordsmen TK or fensers in the films anywhere

(did I miss a scene ?)

Going to hang on for the combat revamp see if I get any harder in comparrison to other proffs.

im going teras kasi master smuggler master and pistoleer master should i even bother getting anything else then the def trees then? and maybe get BH? and ditch the spice/underworld tree of smuggler?

pistols on its own is worth it because its fun, nothing else and I wouldn't give it up for anything. Granted, I have master smuggler and TKM too, but I mastered pistols first while I was still artisan and it was so much more interesting than hitting mindshot3,strafeshot2,scatterhit2 or any other " I win " button.

The main problem is pistoleer on its own is that your weapon has to be really fast so you lose the option of damage slices if you want to hit stopping shot at a decent rate. The defences work great especially with a melee prof like tk or fencer and gives you good range and melee def/mitigation. I guess it all depends how you play, I seem to do better pvp than I did as doc/rifleman or doc/fencer but its simply because of my approach, I hated all that heal state stuff.

I also love the different types of damage for pistols,and its not a prof thats too hard on my mind, like TKM or rifles, shame about armour piercing1 though.

Its up to you I guess but I just thought I'd point out that if we all did working professions, there'd be no diversity in the game. If it feels good do it
