Thread: Another question about the pistols for Pistoleer lol....

Ok guys,just wondering what pistol is best to use. i dont mind sacrificing alittle speed for damage, an i mastered pistoleer in 3 days so im doing ok an all. But i have smuggler left to do an since SOE love's to keep us waiting (we've been with broken specials, namely the pointBlankArea 2 for god knows how long) its like hitting stuff for maybe 500 at max with the area shot 1whichisthe fast way to grind all combat profs.Anyways i grind mostly with huurtons,but open to all suggestions.So if there is a gun to raise up the htis for around 1k with the area attack 1,please say so. im sure alotta players would like that since we cant do the area attack 2. thansk guys!

I used a Scatter pistol for all my grinding. I grinded on Fambaa missions on Naboo, 4400 xp per Fambaa. All I did was Body Shot 2 until they died. Once I got Fan Shot I can mow down a group of almost anything in no time. Since most mobs are melee they get pretty close which is good for the scatter is a close range pistol.

if you are a master pistoleer, why aren't you using the piistoleer specials? why wouldn't you just use fanshot? that will easily top 1k. or you could...
you know what? I am just straight up confused by your post. are you a master pistoleer, or have you just made it to pistols 4 in marksman?

I just realized most people dont get BH for Pistoleer. I would suggest a Modified Republic Blaster for Grinding, I change my vote hah

well dude,if you read my post you woudl see that i said the area shot is the best way to go,i was jsut looking for a way to raise damage on it. You think i jsut sit out there an shoot the crap an do no specials? Dont make yourself look dumb,just looking for a better weapon to use Areashot 1 with since SOE wont fix BAS2.
....an by the way, ive done 17 profs already an played for almost a year. Im sure i would confuse the beginning professions with the branch professions..........

My weapons suggestion is below.
Here is the fastest and best way to grind out smuggler now that you have pistoleer. Stand back from the lair and use fanshot on the lair using a nice dmg sliced mod rep blaster. Just pound on it but make sure you are standing back far enough that the mobs dont attack you and heal the lair at the same time. See the key here is to stand back so they run at you and then halfway to you turn around to go heal the lair...the whole time you are hitting th lair and them as they run back and forth from you and the lair. You will totally take out the lair and all the creatures in less time than you have ever done before. Of course this will call all the creature out of the lair so they can attack you but trust me, as long as you have the ability to wield Stim-B's you will be fine and will have all the pistol XP you will ever need.
Btw dude, if you have been playing for a year then you would know to look at your enemy if NPC or creature and see what weapon you should use...heat. energy etc and that with a powerup would be the only way to increase your damage for an area shot. There is no special weapon to use but the rep blaster and the DX2 do have the light armor piercing aspect. So if your enemy is resistant to energy and heat at the same % and you have some nice damage sliced Featherweight or regular FWG5 you would probably still be better off using a rep blaster with a lower dmg and slower speed because of this.

well dude,that is a good way to do it. thansk for the tip.
...an i use rep blaster on huntresses. 40% to heat an 15% to energy. an ive been playiogn long enogh to know that power ups really speed up the kill rate on your harda\ware. so i dont use them no need to be rude man.
