Disarming shot 1 - a fast attack which causes little damage to theaction barbut causes the targets weapon to become unequipped (Disarmed)...Hence the target having to re-equip the weapon tocontinue combat.
Disarming Shot 2- a direct attack to the opponents weapon causing it to be unequiped and damage to the condition of the weapon itself and green ham bar.
Thats what I think the Disarming shot should do....

I always thought the shot should disarm the opponent. Im not sure about being able to hit the condition of the opponents weapon.

There would have to be a timer for the disarm thing. Like the KD timer, but longer. It would be funny to see a charging melee fighter drop their weapon trying to close in. It could save ranged professions!

Instead of actually disarming it could work as a delay shot much like panic shot and warcry.

"You fumble with your weapon, you are delayed 10 seconds"
I guess I could see that happening...

The first option would be quite powerful indeed. Maybe too powerful...the second option would be half way griefing...who wants to equip their best krayt enhanced weapon if they think some pistoleer might go and damage it. Also, whats to stop a pistoleer from just spamming disarmshot2 everytime the other character equips any weapon...then while the fiddle around with trying to equip something we spam a few shots and wait to unequip them again...

I think that for it to work as its name implies, there would need to be a small chance of success, really. Hitting a moving weapon in the chaos of combat would be a heckuva shot to begin with. Maybe something along the lines of:
20% chance of unequipping the weapon
60% chance of causing action damage to the target
20% chance of causing the target to lose their acquired target (didn't quite hit hard enough to knock the weapon loose, but still made it go off target)
If this special just caused the "you fumble with your weapon for 10 seconds" result, the battlefield would look like areunion of three stooges rejects as everyone starts getting butterfingered with their implements of destruction....could be funny as hell to watch if its gets animated (picturing someone flailing around with their gun flopping all over)

This is more like what it would look like onour screen:
You have failed to disarm you opponent
You have failed to disarm you opponent
You have failed to disarm you opponent
You have failed to disarm you opponent
You have failed to disarm you opponent
You have failed to disarm you opponent
You have failed to disarm you opponent
You have failed to disarm you opponent
You have been incapped by UBER pvp Duder
You have been slain by UBER pvp Duder
You lose 60 faction points

I think we cap that skill out at Master Level don't we?

I like the idea of them losing the target as chances are they would shift focus to someone else, In some of the big battles I have been it that would be enough for a lowly master pistoleer to survive to see another day....

Ranged intimidate, and disarming 2 an area ranged intimidate? at least make it do something. "You fumble with your weapon and become intimidated".
Way back when this game came out I remember getting it, and thinking "awesome, now I can disarm people!" What a let down. At least back then it did extra dammage against lairs.
