Thread: Pistoleer Usefull with out BH line?

Currently Im a BH 3040 TKM and pistoleer 0040
I mainly took this template because I love the story line behind TKM and fell in love with the BH pistol lines and it made sense to pick up the defense and certs and when I decided on all this I was alreday a BH 2444 so I figured why not try BH with one of the most efective templates
Now Im ready to drop BH and the only thing thats holding me up is what to pick up to go along with TKM because I dont want to drop it ever.
because I love pistols and the 0040 defense pistoleer was my first choice however I never use the specials at all and even eye shot and torso shot are not usefull against armored opponents so Im gonna guessing the pistoleer lines arent usefull considering they only target health and with the speed im sacrificing I dont think it can be very usefull.
However with Pistoleer/TKM my defense will be outstanding and I'd be very hard to kill however my damage out put will be extremly low in pvp
The other option to counter this is to pick up smuggler 0040 but Im not sure how good they are and figured I'd ask hear because anyone who seriouly uses pistols either knows about/has this line.
So I guess what Im asking is it worth it for thr defense and are therer any pistoleers that are succesfull in pvp

if you wanna fight as tka, adding in that 1 pistol line is good cause it gives you the state mods but also it gives ranged mitigation 2 which is always nice.
im a pistoleer and i splash in fencer for melee mitigation
of course this is assuming you dont plan on attacking with a pistol

Yes I want to fight good as a TK and I know that will help however basically I want to know if Master Pistols is decent in pvp at least as far as damage goes. I dont want to soly rely on TK and Would like to have a ranged professtion aswell

How can you say that BHxx4x and Pistols 0040 is not effective in PVP? You just need to be a bit more strategic with it.
A.) Geno Pistol w/ Eyeshot.
-Watch the dmg above his head, if he is not wear a stun helmet and/or PSG just spam this and he will die.
- Even if he is wearing Armor, this will blind him and make you even hard to hit
B.) Health DOT Stack: Torso Shot, Health Shot 1, Health Shot 2, Bleeding Shot: You should be able to stack a 600-700 tick Health DOT along with the Mind Bleed on him with these skills. Then work him with stopping shot or more Torso till he goes down
I understand that Pistoleer is never going to be as easy to use in PVP as a Rifleman or Melee Stacker, but you have a lot of defense and the ability to hit at range. Use this to your advantage along with other specials to either slow your opponet down or keep him away from you. (PMD)
Also, equipment really matters here. You need Krayted Pistols and a DE-10 will make you ungodly.
The BH line is huge though. It opens up a several options for you in PVP.

you cant use de10 without master pistol. also with only that pistol line you arent speed capped which screws you right there, and although BH has nice accuracy mods, they are no where near good enuff. that will give you like 50 or 60pistol accuracy which is kind of low. and as far as attacking health, just hope they dont heal...i always attack mind anyways
to original poster, just master pistoleer sucks cause you dont have any good specials to use, and youre not speed capped. thats why most people take BH, for eye shot and torso shot, and also the mods but mainly the specials. if you are only master pistoleer in pvp, you wont be using a de10 cause they are like 3.9 speed and if youre not speed capped, youre in trouble. also you are only gonna be shooting with stopping shot which is like a mini last ditch at only x5. not the best

Master Pistoleer is really tough for pvp.
This game is not build for ranged pvp'ing.
Best template I found was Master Pistoleer with Master Bounty Hunter..
With all the foods out there and armor, ranged does not stand a much of a chance.
I never had a DE-10 but I do hear it is overhyped, especially with a 3 second delay.
I never seen or heard of one that is faster than that, but like I said I never had one so I cant comment on this.
I do like the challenge of Master Pistoleer and Master BH, but with Master Pistoleer and Master TK, I do much better in pvp and pve.
Wait till the Combat rebalance and hopefully they will fix this.
PS: I have not played SWG in two months and will continue not to play until Combat rebalance comes out.
I am hoping Combat Rebalance changes a few key things, if not, it hasta luego for me..

It depends on what you like to do. Pistoleer by itself is difficult but not totally useless in PvP. I'm a Pistoleer/Creature Handler with FS Ranged Accuracy and Ranged Speed. Creature Handler is absolutely worthless in PvP 
I have a DE-10 that does about 520ish with powerup, using Stopping Shot for about 2700 damage. Smacking someone for that and seeing "Head Hit" pop up over their head makes me smile
And in PvE, Pistoleer is great, although some high-end content is difficult. Nightsister Elders are a trick to kill without a good Striker Pistol.
