Thread: Grinding for meaningful loot?

I am currently filling my last boxes for master pistoleer. And to be honest, I am getting a bit bored with it. I have been doing missions on Darthomir, and the XP are great, but the fun - well, isn't... I think that the problem is, that there is absolutely no excitement in killing these critters. A few of them has a rare armor attachment (I can't remember which ones at the moment), but they do not seem to have any real value.

So my question is this: Does anyone have any advice on what to grind for loot. I am willing to accept a degree of XP inefficientcy in order to add at least a little excitement to the grind. A 1 in 100 useful drop would be nice. Any and all advice greatly appreciated. I am currently 3-3-4-2 pistoleer (very close to 3-4-4-3).

I'll be sure to try that out tonight. Killing Ewoks sounds like fun . Thanks a lot for the suggestions!

yeah, i don't like critter huntin' as much as sentient humanoid hunting myself. i know there is generally more xp in critter hunting, but i'm more interested in good loot and money

Jinda's usually camped because it's an absolutely amazing place for one hand exp (500Kish in one clearout last time I tried, aswell as one crystal and a weapon experimentation tape +1. The run before that had 4 crystals, and the one before that 5 so this was a, lootwise with the exception of the tape, a low run).

The Canyon CorSairs on Lok are also absoluetely marvelous 'cause fanshot eats 'em right up. From memory, there's like 150K of exp just sitting there waiting for you to swing by. Not all that good loot, you can get some tapes though (think I picked up a 3/3 there today, but I can't remember the two mods. They were some melee evasion or some other pap though)

Mokk stronghold on Dantooine is 200Kish of onehand exp, and are easier to hit with a stun baton than a gun although the gun will work. Semi-decent loot, got some mind poison knifes and staffs and the likes.

Aakuan cave on Talus, not much exp, but the Aakuan rings are just wubbly and worth around 200-300K on my server. Not sure on the exact drop rate, but it's a place to visit.

Erran Sif, Talus. 50-100K pistols exp, but the "boss mobs" have a few 13K+ HAM. Which means they have a small, but existing, chance of dropping Legendary or exceptional loot of good quality.

I ran the Jinda caves twice and got squat. Am I doing something wrong. One time I killed everything in there and got a couple sea's, 2 with no mods and 1 with a plus 1 dodge mod and one with a +1 poleamr mod. Second time I got squat 2. What do you have to do to get the uber loot.

Great, you tried all the containers? There's five of them in total I think. They usuaully have SEA's, and the crystals and other stuff comes from the jinda's themselves.

And yes, all the ones I mentioned are POI's.
