So I was thinking on the CU today and came across the idea of tweaking one of my favorite templates for the CU. My favorite template being MRifles/MPistols/MMarksman. So I went to a char. builder and came up with this template.
Master Rifles
Master Pistols
Bounty Hunter Pistols 3.
This way I could use my beloved pistols again, as well as use my equally beloved rifles excluding the ion rifle because its only real purpose is to do pvp damage.

Just remember that, once the CURB goes Live, Stun damage will no longer be the most effective damage type in the game. The Devs have said that Stun damage was never meant to be the primary PvP damage type that it is, and we should see that reflected in the CURB. So basically, you may not need your Jawa ion rifle at all.
I like that template a lot for diversity's sake, and because it screams true-blue Star Wars to me. I'd miss Medic and Scout (Stim Bs and harvesting critters), but other than that, I like it. Good range of damage types, and the ability to pour damage into two HAM stats (Mind and Health).

No melee profs! You brought a tear to my eye, andrew!
Worst part of SWG's "Star Warsy" experience, in my opinion, is seeing all these melee first classes. Then again, it makes sense for people to be melee centric right now. The majority of PvEcombat is against melee MOBs which are almost always too fast to kite as a ranged player. Even now, advancing in pistols is buff up, armor up, and shoot things as they "try" to chew on you.
Wish they'd do the statistics thing again, where they showed the profession break down. It would be interesting to see just what percentage of the player base has novice pistoleer, carbineer, rifleman vs novice fencer, swordsman, pikeman vs novice tka. It'd also be interesting to see just how many players that take novice TKA only end up with 4000 TKA for the meditation stuff.
Look around next time you're in amajor city and see how many people areon their knees in the meditation pose.
Of course, seeing which professionsare mastered most would be nice too.

It is only the best place ever to get xp at. Its part of the Hero quests where you have to save the family, but the spawn on the npc's is friggin awesome. To put it this way I went from 3003 Rifleman to Master in a little over 7 hours. If you are doing melee it's even quicker. I'm not sure of the exact coordinates but its about 5k Northwest of Mos Eisley

Definately not the squill caves. No afro'd creatures inhabit this cave.

That's super exciting! A new cave for me to explore. I'll have to check it out tonight when I log on. Thanks!

Well good, good riddance to the jawa and the sonic blaster. I'd much rather be using a T-21, DE-10, Scatter Pistol, or DXR6-b Tenloss Rifle than an ion rifle or sonic blaster.
