would torso shot be more effective if i used a heat pistol? Say for instance both the scatter and fwg were the same damage, would the fwg burn more because it is heat based and torso shot burns? I know launcher pistol ticks nice with torso shot, was just wondering about the heat though. thx

You will not get "extra" dmg using a heat gun, but changing your damage type to take advantage of your target's resist you can minimize your dmg loss to armor. There are very few situations where a heat gun is better than an acid gun of equal dmg/speed. Stick with yer scatter, it's prolly the best non-looted all around pistol in the game.

Oh yea, if you want to heat up Torso Shot, I suggest that you stack it (up to three times) on your target.

And then add Bleeding Shot, HS1, HS2, and the bleed from the Mod Rep pistol.

Just my two-bits though.

I was checking out the Enhanced Pistols guide, and it seems to me that a DX2 has the potential to be better than a Scatter, with enough identical krayt tissues. A DX2 can take up to 5 krayt tissues whereas a Scatter can only take 2... or am I reading this wrong?

Scatter just needs 1 per, actually.

sorta, tissues don't stack. You HAVE to use 5 tissues to enhace a dx2, and 1 for a scatter. The number of tissues is not optional and the tissue bonus is applied only once. If you were to use the same "value" of tissues in both you would still have a tighter dmg range, higher top end and better range mods on the scatter, and you'd be able to make 5 of them for the same price as the single dx2 you made.

scatter wins again.

no but try to knock down you target before using it and you will get a higher damage and a better dot.
