Do our pistol whip specials (pistol melee defense 1 & 2) bypass a jedi's saber block? I was thinking they may be counted as melee attacks and therefore unblockable. Has anyone tried this?

ranged/melee is determined by the type of weapon used, not the attack. PMD is a ranged attack with a 7m range, saberthrow is a melee attack with a 32m range.

Take food that will increase your accuracy, i can't remember the name of the food off the top of my head, but its like +40% to accuracy. You will hit Jedi allot better. Believe me! But shhhhh, dont tell everyone about it. Othewise the DEVs will Nerf that too. LOL

It makes sense from a coding point of view. You still have to roll to determine whether or not you hit with PMD1, and if it was counted as a melee attack, they'd need to use your 1-Handed Melee Accuracy skill to determine whether or not you actually hit with PMD1. Since that would make the skill useless to a Pistoleer unless he had Fencer as well, they make it a Ranged attack, like all Pistol attacks, and use your Pistol Accuracy to determine whether or not you hit. And since all Ranged attacks are subject to Saber Block... you get the rest. So we trade a chance to hit and be deflected, for a chance at all, lol.
