If I could play all day with a small group on Lok... could probably drag in 300k or more Pistol XP. This is just where I am now using a sliced FWG5 and bodyshot 2. Sincea Master Pistoleer requires somewhere on the order of 3.6 million Pistol XP, someone with no job and no life could get there in a couple weeks

I see some of you made it there already...Congrats!!! Now, how the <edit> did you do it so fast??? Am I missing something here? All kiding aside...thats awsome.

Best solo non-spoiler advice I can give.

1. Use mission terminals on different planets (as needed) to test different mobs XP and difficulty value (given whatever tactics you use). I found getting stuck on one planet didn't work too well. Missions were ideal...missions = no searching + credits. Just clone and throw caution to the wind. Once you find a mob you like..try it out for a while.

2. Get the best weapon you can, makes a huge difference, more than a new special. Get it sliced. Abuse it, get it repaired, abuse it some more.

3. stack HS1/HS2 onmobs that dont die fast, reapply once or twice as needed to make sure you have a big bleed value (dont overkill...you could be doing damage rather than reapplying over and over).

4. Get some first aid and craft stim Bs for downtime and soloing if you dont have a group. Ditch it later if you like, but while XPing it's necessary for solo play, if for action heals alone.

5. get exploration for faster travel and gather resources for stims (or friends). Harvesting mobs is easy and hitting box 4 explore takes little time. Untrain if you want once you're done with it..but when you are an explorer/hunter...go native.

6. get pistol whip ASAP.

7. Experiment with tactics and mobs. Every time I thought I found I great mob, I found another one that was better.

I dont have much experience grouping, I'm sure there are some good group tips out there as well.

That's good advice, don't get locked into one planet...

...and by the way I have a full time job (WAN Engineer) a wife and two small kids. So there. :-P

I made 1.1 million exp solo in 8 hours of hunting. Justgo to endor resarch out post you should figure it out from there a couple of week!! bahh 24 hours of play gets u it if u can actually concentrate and not get bored hehe

Pistol Melee Defence 1 = Pistol Whip

I am able to get 3k experience per killwith pistol whip. I love killing Storm troopers.

I am getting 4k+ per Moutain Squil with Pistol whip. I just love all the newbie asking me how do I keep them donw like that.

i hit master gunfighter today. i just got pistol like a week ago too. it really only took 4 days. just gotta know the trick that it seems i thought everyone knew. i even see carebines and rifle ppl do it. and they do it faster.

and i dont use pistol whip btw.

I just got master pistoleer tonight. Now I can start back working on advancing in my novice commando career. That is once they fix ANYTHING about it. 8D

yes pistol whip is KEY for uber xp in pistol skills. Pistol Whip = Big XP giving MOBs waiting to die by your hands earning you XP to move up in Pistol skills. Just hope it's not Nerfed more (Yes they did nerf it believe it or not... or maybe pretended too).
