Thread: master pistoleer plus bh pistol 4?
is there a point of going all way up bh pistol 4?
anyone know it theres a modifier cap somewhere along the line there?
yeah i know there is, thats why im woundering if it caps off when u get so far....
This is a good question, does anyone have more experience here?
I added up the points really quick, and if you master marksman, pistoleer, and the BH pistol line you'll have +129 pistol speed and +155 accuracy.
If speed is capped at 100, then the BH line only gives 21 speed. That's a lot, but when you consider the point investment to get it... If accuracy were capped at 100 the BH line wouldn't help that at all.
I really should have this cut and pasted, but here goes
YOU NEED TO SEARCH POSTS!
SPEED IS NOT CAPPED
I am master pistoleer/ BH pistol 4 and my speed is +129
Devs dont need to answer questions you could answer with less than 5 seconds of typing and pressing "search"
I promise, they havent nerfed the search feature
Slithery the question isn't whether the little number ever stops going up on your character sheet. The question is whether numbers over 100 have any more affect than 100 (hence being capped).
Oh and relax, you're freaking out over nothing.
At the risk of being any more totally clear:
I have a 2.2 speed pistol. With +129 speed I fire every second. THERE IS NO CAP ON SPEED.
EVERY +10 TO SPEED SUBTRACTS .1 SECONDS FROM YOUR FIRING SPEED.
IT DOES NOT CAP AT 100.
BTW, "effect" is a noun. The verb you are looking for is "affect."
At the risk of being ever more obvious, this isnt english grammar 101.
The speed mod may display +129 but it could be capped at 100 in game calculations. I have heard a couple posts where some BH with 129 speed compared their speed to a BH following the same template but with like 103 speed and they fired at the EXACT same rate. Again, I am not that advanced but some people have reported it.
Also, the speed increase per mod pts works on % and not a flat rate. Riflemen with 80+ speed fire several shots in 2s with a 5s rifle... I also tested this on myself and until +30 speed (I can't judge above yet) I have seen a perfect correlation of +5 speed= -5% firing speed on auto attacks.
As far as I know, all of your speed counts towards the speed of your weapon. The thing is, you cannot fire more than one per second, so there IS a cap of sorts. with 129 speed and a 2.2 pistol, you will fire at 1.0. With 129 speed and a 1.5 pistol you still fire at 1.0. So the speed points do not cap, points over 100 do count, but the rate of fire caps at 1 second, so with that kind of speed anything less than a 2.2 pistol is useless for you, and the upgrades and slicing are better used on damage.
Maximize damage by having 129 speed and a 2.2 pistol with the most damage you can get, your speed won't matter.
I believe all this to be correct, and because there is a cap at 1 second, people confuse it with character stat speed being capped somewhere. If anyone can agree or verify this with me it'd make me feel better ![]()
