For some reason I cannot get more than about 3,500 pistol exp per kill. I went out and soloed a Rancor and that is all I got. Yet I have heard of people getting 10k a kill for those. Does it have to do with my apparent fighting level? Is there a way to view that? My friend is a TKA and he gets over 4k exp a kill. Why is this?

Any ideas?

Did you solo it with any assistance from pets/droids? Just asking, because if you did they will take away from the damage that you did, and therefore, you wont get full XP. XP for mobs is based on the amount of damage you did to the monster. If ya did solo it without any pets.. Im not sure why. Could, in fact, be a cap of some sort.

I belive it is level cap of some kind. I killed a red Sharput hunter and get 1800 exp at expert Pistol. I never got over 1800 exp for anything I killed at that level. I later trained Pistol Specialist, now I seem to be able to get up to 3000 exp for some solo red kills.

Ok apparently there is an exp capp. it has to do with your apparent pistol lvl.

so heres the question I have dirty fighting 2 and i am also a novice pistoleer

Should i lvl up my pistoleer in the first 2 tiers before moving on to dirty fighting 3? and how will this effect my exp capp?

Is your pistol lvl told by the highest tier that you are in or does it count everything you have for that weapon (dirty fighting and pistoleer)?

and does bleed have a negative effect on Pistol exp?

I am a novice pistoleer and got 3663 for a rebel general last night, my pet did most of the damage, I was amazed at how much xp I got. but it exceeds your cap. Though perhaps the group xp bonus is calculated after the cap, if there is one.

Yes, group xp is calculated after cap.

I 'seem' to be caped at 3000 exp now. Note, I and still only a Pistol Specalist. Still about 40k short of novice pistoleer.
