Everything I've been reading is that there is not.

The SR Scout pistol has AR1. But right now it is either impossible or very rare for a Weapon Smith to be able to create one. The SR Scout pistols are sometimes dropped from NPCs but they are always base stats and not worth using.

rumor has it that the DX2 is ar3... beside it fires a green beam, sound cool, and looks cool to. And it's acid damage.

All right, but apart from the sanitation droids, bionic limbs, hyper-drive, moisture vaporators, galactic order, abolisment of slavery, star charts, the compact and efficient central government and interplanetary free trade, what has the Empire ever done?"

There's no way the DX2 is a 3. I've heard conflicting reports, either a 1, or a 0. I would HOPE it's a 1, since the scatter pistol is indeed also a 1.

If my memory is correct, the pistol you are thinking of is an SR Combat pistol, not SR Scout. Scout pistols are very nice - good damage with very low delays, but are AR0. SR Combat pistols are supposed to be AR1, and the Scatter pistol (Novice BH) is supposed to be AR1. Not sure on the Launcher Pistol (Novice Commando) or Republic Blaster.

In the official SWG guide it says SR pistol is AR 1. There is no pistoll with AR higher than 1.

Elius - It's a rating given to both armor and weapons (sometimes just called Armor Rating for both, sometimes called Armor-piercing Rating for weapons). It's like a technology level or overall effectiveness level. So any time you have a weapon that is a higher AR than the AR of your target's armor, then you have an advantage, and similarly if their armor has a higher AR than your weapon, then you have disadvantage. The difference shows up in damage done. I've seen it both as 50 +/- for each step of difference, and I've also seen it stated as higher armor will decrease damage by 50%, while a higher weapon will only do 25% more damage per level it is over the armor. I'm sure some tests in the near future will settle this.

The Reason that there are no SR Combat Pistols, is no one can find the Metal needed in its manufacture. Once someone can find the ore, I am sure the Master Weaponsmiths will have no issue making them.
