Thread: What is the best ability?
Depends...for PVE I think its Mindshot 2. For PVP either HeadShot 2 or 3.
PistolMeleeDefense 1 until it gets nerfed more. Although a Master would probably say Disarm Shot 2, but I'm not there yet.
If knockdowns weren't uber, then it gets a bit tougher. I'm a big fan of Body Shot 3 because I love taking out a single HAM bar. But for PvP everyone raves about Stopping Shot. *shrug*
It does area of effect damage at almost 1000+ damage using a DLT20a. Which brings up the question.. why is this an AoE ability?
In my experience the Rifleman's true power is in his bleed attacks . Mindshot I and Mindshot II are both damage over time attacks that can be stacked . With good rolls and the so-so Laser Rifle I'm using now I am draining about 1.5 - 2k Mind Pool every 20 seconds or so . I think you get like 10 tics before it wears off .
Plus you can throw in the Headshots , traps or anything else you want while they are bleeding . So basically , you fire a HS I , then a HS II and within the next two or three minutes your target is going to lose around 15 - 20k Mindpool points . Of course nothing has that many , so basically anything you fight is dead if you can get good rolls and stay alive long enough .
I'm dropping hard red con MOBs on Lok pretty easily . They have 8 - 10k in MindPool , it just seems nothing can withstand the drain for that long . A minute or two , tops .
Haven't tried many of the others as I hear a lot of them are broken .
