I'm going for smuggler, and I REALLY like Health Shot One...

Now I'm asking, is Health Shot Two significantly better than one? Is it worth it to get Novice Pistoleer, then not advance up it anymore?

YES.

Besides Health Shot 2, you get DX2 pistol certification. IMHO, once the weaponsmiths and resources start catching up with pistol users experience and certs, you're gonna see how nice the DX2 is compared to all the other pistols in marksman tree.

Andthe health shot 1 and 2 stack so you can hit a target with both of them and get two different bleeds from them. I have done this so I know it works. If you watch closely, you will see two different bleeds. But if you really want to confirm it yourself, hit a HS 1 fire a BS2, then hit HS 2. then keep watching the mob and you should see the two different bleed animations.

I use a DX2 now and I can tell you that even with a slightly slower rate of fire and max damage it is better then any other pistol for one reason, damage type. Few mobs and players have good protection from acid which allows me to get more damage through their defenses thus dropping the mob faster. this is also true in PvP.

Im using a scout that does 60-122 with 1.3 speed right now. Would a DX2 be better thatn that one? i remember notig posting that he made one and it sucked.

My dx2 is 75-121 speed 2.0 but it does seem to take mobs down faster. I have a scout blaster 36 - 141 speed 1.3 and it just nibbles away at many mobs yea its fast but if there defense is strong against energy it doesnt do as much per shoot.Damage type seems to matter alot but not always.
I still have alot to learn about damage types but so far it seems to be a much better pistol.
