The FWG5, of course, but this is not really a fair comparison -- that is a stock, unslicedRepublic Blaster and a Krayt FWG5, no?

and i dont see whats so great about the republic blaster... the best one ive found on gorath is no better than my best dx2... and acid damage is typically less defended against.

so about the threads origional question FWG for all round use and for armored target dx2

(i guess if i find a armored target vounerable to energy and not acid ill come back here and add a use for it)

No, its not obvious at all. Different servers have different resources, which impact weapon stats. On Starsider, there's no way you can get stats like that on an FWG5 without enhancements like Krayt tissue. If there's a FWG like that on other servers that's not enhanced, well, you're lucky.

And there are plenty of Krayt FWG5s. I own 6 of them. Just because they can't be crafted anymore doesn't mean all the old ones go poof.

There was an auction not long ago on Intrepidfor a FWG5 that had a +200/-.5 Krayt and a wicked barrle enhancement -1.5 speed +50/+50..

119-748 0.0 speed after a 30% damage slice.. thing went for 2 mill could you imagine a +32% max +16% min damage muzzle?

138- 987 0.0 speed Oh my... oh and the ham was 15/36/15 this gun was quite the contravercy till several masters confermed its creation could have been done.. Too bad i missed the bid lol

I cary both. My FWG5 is 67-245 dmg at 1.7 speed unsliced, and my Republic Blaster is 65-197 dmg at 2.7 speed unsliced. I prefer the Republic Blaster to the DX2 because you don't have to be point blank range for the weapon to hit the broad side of a barn. I do carry a DX2 as well, it just doesn't get used as much. I'm on Starsider so I don't know how these would stack up with weapons from other servers.
