The problem is that I like being a pistoleer bothan...I'm just not sure that Pistoleer is the combat school for a Ranger...advice???

Enlight of future combat changes, I would recommend Playing what ever ranged combat class you enjoy. Those bone spur traps will do little damage to higher end mobs, a 100-200 damage mind hit per trap, on a 10k ham creature could take you a while.

Speak with other pistoleers and see how they think things works. Most Importantly chose a weapon class that you enjoy.
