Are there any combat macro's I can use to gain xp while AFK?

If not, does anyone ever leave their character in or around an aggressive yet easy to handle mob in hopeyou would get attacked again and again to gain XP? and if so, do you have any suggestions as to what type ofmob this works with?

Yes on the macro. And yes on camping aggro mobs.

Good luck finding a spot though, almost every spawn in the game is camped 24/7.

Couple of things you can do, all depends on what you want to do. Firstly, if it is an aggressive creature or NPC or a NPC that does not like you, then no macro is needed, just stand still or kneel and when it attacks your auto attack will kick in. Now you will need to be able you can handle the attacker with the default attack. Most people will do this at a static NPC spawn near cities. If you right a macro, you would be able to loot them as well to increase the spawn rate. I would give examples of macros, but I do not have my command list here. If you require specials to kill creatures and want to attempt the squill caves or some other static higher end place, then you will need to write a macro. Over all macros are simple to write, what you need to do is find the command to cycle targets, adn then type in the commands for the special attacks you watn to use.

As a side note, there really should be no reason to AFK grind pistoleer. The experience grind is fairly fast if you go to dathomir or dantooine or even tatooine and hunt the appropriate creature (while buffed and with ubese armor), should take 3 to 4 days tops depending on your availability to play. Fanshot will increase the leveling time as well when you get it as it is a AoE (cone) attack. On dantooine, hurtons, pikets, gruals, quenckersand bols are all good for exp. On dathomir, Kwi, brackasets, baz nitches are all good (and if you can handle them rancors, but I do not like disease on the larger ones). Endor is decent as well and in my opinion very unpopulated by players for grinding. My best grinding sessions were done on Endor.

I did a bit of AFK grinding...thugs etc....but the XP i got, for a whole nights grind, well, I could get more doing 1 mission on Dant/Dath. It's really not worth it. Towards the end of my Pistoleer grind, I was getting 200+k xp an hour. There's no reason to AFK grind unless ur looting at the same time.

Right, the combat macros are pretty much for looting the thugs, who sometimes drop really crappy lightsaber crystals. I've always wondered how their inventory doesn't fill up with junk though. They can't leave it running for long, that's for sure.
